‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 10 Episode 11 Spoilers: Sheldon and Amy Move Back Together In ‘The Hot Tub Contamination’ [PROMO]

The Big Bang Theory fans were pleasantly surprised when Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) finally moved in in tonight’s Season 10 episode, “The Cohabitation Experimentation.” After Amy’s apartment got flooded, leaving her homeless for five weeks, Sheldon agreed to live with her girlfriend, treating it as a form of social experiment.

In tonight’s episode of The Big Bang Theory Season 10, Amy finds herself homeless after her apartment got flooded. Penny (Kaley Cuoco) offered the scientist to stay in Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) room for the meantime while her husband stays at her place. Sheldon, however, was not too keen on the idea of Amy moving in, thinking that it would “kill the romance.”

“You guys had sex one whole time. Nothing can put out a fire like that,” Penny countered.

After Leonard and Amy convinced Sheldon to treat it as a social experiment, he finally agreed to do it. He, however, wanted to do the “research” at a neutral location, thinking that his findings could be influenced by his comfort at being at home. Penny then suggested that couple move in to her apartment and she lives with Leonard.

Prior to moving in, Sheldon and Amy discussed their living arrangements. Given that they will be sharing a bed together, he admitted that he felt excited, nervous, and scared, “the exact same emotions he feels in line at the Space Mountain.” To make things more comfortable for him, Amy proposed that they take sex off the table. Fans of The Big Bang Theory might be a little disappointed to see Sheldon and Amy living together while not consummating their relationship. It is, however, still a big step from Sheldon, leaving his apartment and moving across the hall.

“I imagined one of your concerns might be coital expectations. I know this experiment is a big step off your comfort zone so why don’t we take being physical off the table and maybe later on once we’re settled in, revisit,” Amy told Sheldon.

Once they officially moved out, Leonard and Penny celebrated by dancing in their underwear.

“Wow! Where did you learn this moves?” Penny asked Leonard.

“The world may have forgotten about Dance Dance Revolution but not this food criminal,” he replied.

Across the hall, Amy had a hard time sleeping as Sheldon kept tossing and turning on the bed. It also did not help that he kept talking and snoring. Just when she was about to finally fall asleep, spooning him, Sheldon knocks her off of the bed.

The next morning, Amy and Sheldon had a fight in his apartment after she told him that she wanted to call off the experiment after what happened last night. The intensity of their fight, however, left them all hot and bothered.

“Do you want to go to our place and make out?” Amy asked after the fight.

“Does Stephen Hawking roll through the quad?” he replied before they scurry back to Penny’s apartment.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, The Big Bang Theory showrunner Steve Molaro said that they are not ready to discuss about the possibility of Sheldon and Amy getting married just yet. He, however, explained that they are talking about the couple’s living arrangements, what makes sense and how it would work out.

Sheldon and Amy’s new living arrangement will continue to pose problems in the next episode of The Big Bang Theory. In next Tuesday’s episode, titled “The Hot Tub Contamination,” Amy will find it extremely difficult to reach a compromise with Sheldon.

“You can’t regulate every aspect of our lives,” she told him.

“I can if you just roll over and accept your faith,” Sheldon replied.
