Hillary Clinton Fly: Famous Fly At Debate An Instant Hit, Was It Sending A ‘Unique Message’?

Hillary Clinton was unflinching when a fly landed on her face during the second debate she had with Donald Trump on Sunday night. As the two presidential nominees battled it out before millions on television at Washington University in St. Louis, a fly was seen on Clinton. In today’s social media universe, that got people immediately coming up with memes of the fly, and someone even created its own Twitter account called the “Hillary Clinton Fly.” The account now has almost 600 followers.

The Daily Mail reports that Hillary Clinton was robotic as the fly rested at the end of her left eyebrow. She was speaking when the fly made its debut before the nation. Normally, people would try swatting something like that off their face, but Clinton proceeded undeterred in her talk. This prompted many to post comments about the Democratic presidential nominee as having all the makings of a robot, hence reports declaring that the fly incident was like a scene out of Westworld.

CBS News reports that the Hillary Clinton fly may have been sending a “unique message” to the nominee. At least this is what one culture would say it symbolized.

The news source cites Starstuffs as revealing that all animals and insects have a totem. In Native American culture, if an animal (insect in this instance) shows up at a time or a place it wouldn’t normally be, it’s “delivering a unique message to the person whose path it crossed.”

“The lesson of fly is in the value of carrying your emotions, thoughts and feelings in order to act quickly in sometimes unfavorable or uncomfortable conditions,” the site reads.

The article asks how this interpretation of the fly affects Hillary Clinton. It addressed the press conference that Donald Trump held on Facebook Live with three of the women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault. The event took place right before the start of the debate.

As uneasy as this may have made Hillary Clinton, she stepped on the debate stage seemingly unfazed and poised to take questions from undecided voters.

The fly showing up at the debate and landing on Hillary Clinton beckoned the question whether its appearance was a coincidence or nature’s silent way of delivering a unique message to the presidential nominee.

Much of the second debate was fiery between Clinton and Trump with accusations thrown at one another about the treatment of women and who was more offensive to them — not Hillary Clinton, but her husband, Bill Clinton, when he was president. Trump blasted Clinton for supporting her husband when he was accused of sexual assault, which added to the alleged victims’ turmoil.

Hillary Clinton deleted tens of thousands of government emails she had on a private server and has been accused of being secretive about private speeches she delivered on Wall Street. The fact she wasn’t indicted for the email scandal has infuriated the masses. Trump threatened to hire a special prosecutor to investigate his opponent and even fired the comment at Clinton that she’d be in jail if he was in charge.

These issues facing Clinton has fueled ongoing debate throughout the 2016 presidential campaign.

So, is there a hidden meaning to the fly that landed on Hillary Clinton’s face during the debate? Those who believe in superstitions and are non-Clinton supporters might say the fly represented something pertinent, but there’s no way of knowing.
