Kelly Ripa Co-Host: Search Still On, Ashton Kutcher Nearly Reveals His New Baby’s Name On ‘Live’

Has a new co-host for Kelly Ripa been found for the Live with Kelly morning show? Ripa is apparently still searching for the perfect hosting companion to join her on the long-running program as co-host. Last week, movie and television star Ashton Kutcher joined Kelly as her Live co-host while nearly revealing the name of his new baby son with wife Mila Kunis in a whispered moment shared between the two entertainers.

Did you watch Friday’s Live with Kelly broadcast with guest co-host Ashton Kutcher? Apparently, Ripa and Kutcher displayed great chemistry together during the recent broadcast. According to Gossip Cop, Ashton Kutcher relished in his first televised appearance as Kelly Ripa’s co-host on Live with Kelly last Friday. Telling Ripa that he and That ’70s Show co-star Mila Kunis are indeed expecting another little bundle of joy, the Butterfly Effect leading man confirmed to Kelly that he and Kunis are expecting a baby boy.

“It’s a little hombre. We’ve got a little hombre on the way.”

However, things on the Live with Kelly set got a little heated when co-host Ashton Kutcher decided to secretly share his new baby’s name with Kelly Ripa on-air.

In an attempt to covertly share his new son’s moniker with Ripa, Ashton decided to whisper the baby’s name to Kelly during the broadcast. Immediately thereafter, Kutcher became noticeably vexed when he realized that he and Ripa’s microphones may have still picked up the whispered name, despite its quiet nature.

Ashton was settled when told that he and Ripa’s mics were momentarily muted during his disclosure to Kelly, which prompted the guest co-host’s relief at the thought of his famous wife discovering he’d accidentally told the world their new baby’s name on a nationally-syndicated episode of Live with Kelly.

“I would’ve gotten murdered. The wife would’ve taken me out!”

As reported by E! News, that wasn’t all that Kutcher told Ripa during Friday’s episode. Ashton also shared some of his extended family’s social media reactions to the ultrasound images that he and Mila distributed online to their family of the new baby boy. Apparently, one Kutcher elder had a hilarious reaction to the baby images, with Ashton detailing his grandmother’s comic observation.

“When we finally had the ultrasound tech do the reading thing, we got the little picture, and we have a little, private social media thing that’s just for our family. We posted it up there, and my grandmother posts, ‘Oh! Would you look at that? He’s got a boner!'”

During Ripa’s show on Friday, Ashton also shared with Kelly his reaction to Live guest and fellow ’70s Show alum Laura Prepon’s recent engagement news. Kutcher told Ripa and the Live with Kelly studio audience that he only found out about Prepon’s engagement from reading the news, shocked that his former co-star and friend hadn’t yet told him of the engagement personally. Laura is engaged to actor Ben Foster.
