Kim Kardashian’s Fears: Starlet Shaken Up, Blames Herself For Paris Robbery

Understandably, Kim Kardashian still has fears since she was robbed and held at gunpoint inside her luxury Paris apartment on early Monday morning. She reportedly begged for her life and had a gun to her head after five masked men wearing police uniforms forced themselves into her two-story pad at the Hotel de Pourtales.

According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian was dressed only in a robe when she only caught a glimpse of the masked men entering her pad. Kardashian was then zip-tied and duct-taped as she was grabbed by the ankles, and at that point, she reportedly told police, she feared she was going to be raped. Instead, the robbers bound her ankles with duct tape and carried her into the bathtub. Kardashian begged for her life and told the men that she has two babies at home.

They reportedly took off with her new diamond ring – a gift from her husband Kanye West – along with $10 million worth of jewelry and her smartphone. Kardashian was able to break free of the ties after the men left, before running over to her balcony and crying for help, according to the reports.

Kardashian, her mom Kris Jenner, and her kids have traveled back home to Los Angeles via private jet on Thursday afternoon, according to TMZ. She has been laying low in public and on social media, as she turns to friends and family for support during this difficult time. Although Kardashian has since stayed with West in New York City, she has decided to stay closer to her family, according to E! News. Kardashian has sent out text messages and emails to everyone within her inner circle, saying that she is “doing OK” despite being “shaken up” by the experience.

“I emailed her and she emailed me back thanking me for checking up on her,” one source told the outlet. “I swear she must have spent hours responding to all the people who were concerned about her.”

Kardashian still has fears from the robbery. It could take some time until the reality star mentally recovers from this scary incident, says the source. She’s still on the mend, as she keeps a low profile at the moment.

“[Kim] says she’s doing OK, but that whole thing really freaked her out. She’s just relieved that Kanye and the kids are OK. That’s what she’s concerned about – their safety. Kim is shocked, we’re all shocked. She is the most documented woman in the world right now and the fact that they were able to pull this off and get away with it without getting caught is really scary!”

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been “blaming herself” for the robbery. She has even refused to get a new $4 million ring from her husband, according to a report via People.

“Kim’s in shock. She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time,” another insider told E! News. “This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does.”

Although the ring was from her husband, she does not want it to be replaced. Kardashian is set on not getting a new one because she wants to have a relatively “normal” life from now on.

“Kanye West wants to buy her the ring again but she just says she doesn’t want to think about it. He says he wants everything to go back to normal and for the incident to not affect their lives.”

Does that mean Kim Kardashian will leave social media behind forever? If the starlet does leave both Instagram and Snapchat behind, she could risk losing $1 million a month, according to a celebrity financial adviser, as reported via the Mirror.

“[Kim’s] overall brand is generating at least $1 million a month just through general posts, not including anything that’s specifically being contracted with companies,” financial adviser Samuel Rad told People.”[But] I think what’s going to happen is the first post she’s going to put up after not having posted for [a while], it’s going to get so many more followers and hits. I think that it might actually end up helping her. Especially if Kim positions [her return to social media] correctly … I think it could be a really big moneymaker for her brand.”

The robbery is still under investigation and no arrests have been made. In addition, Kardashian is reportedly speaking to the Paris police over the phone after flying back to the States. Both Kardashian and the concierge, who were on duty at the time of the incident, have been giving authorities details about what happened.
