Kylie Jenner has changed up her hair color once again. The reality star made headlines when she experimented with various weaves and wigs. Kylie Jenner just debuted platinum blonde hair at New York Fashion Week 2016. Now, she recently shared a photo of her new rose gold hair color in a series of social media posts on Thursday, Oct. 6.
The 19-year-old swapped out her platinum blonde locks for a lighter pink shade. In a series of Instagram and Snapchat posts, Jenner pouted and worked her angles while The Weeknd’s “Starboy” played in the background. Jenner gave her fans the first glimpse at her new look, which featured her side-parted hair draped around her shoulders. She was seen wearing a gray zipper hooded sweatshirt, but she was still made up with her signature dark eyebrows, false lashes, contoured cheeks, and nude lipstick.
Then, Kylie swapped out her comfy look for a light-colored slip dress and fur coat, reports Us Weekly. “Rose Gold,” she described her hair in a close-up photo.
Though most fans assumed that Jenner dyed her hair again, a report via Stylish reveals that the Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s new hair color is actually a wig, after all. Jenner Snapchatted a photo on Oct. 6 of her wigmaker Tokyo Stylez. After Jenner shared her posts with her fans, he also shared some of his own along with the revelation in the caption.
“Rose gold wet and wavy … thanks again @hairareus,” he wrote, tagging a synthetic hair retailer in the caption.
E! Online, on the other hand, claims that Kylie’s new hair is from professional hair stylist Priscilla Valles, who supposedly confirmed the news to the outlet. The extensions specialist is taking credit for Kylie’s feminine new look. The rose gold hair was derived from her platinum blonde locks.
“She can pull off any color! She’s like a unicorn. Because she was platinum, she can go any color from there. Originally, she was flirting with other colors, but we showed her the rose-gold shade and instantly that was it. We liked that idea because no one else is doing that right now.”
Toner, which is used to neutralize brassy or orange tones on bleached hair, was also used to help enhance the pink shade.
“There are so many hair toners on the market these days with rose tones. We went with a light and mild tone, but to achieve the same look, you’ll need to be super light to begin with. The longer you leave it, the deeper and more intense it will be.”
Back in September, 2015, Jenner shared her love for wigs in a post on her website and app.
“I first dyed my hair when I was 16. I dyed it blue and I never even asked my mom. After that, I’ve just had this addiction to changing my hair,” she wrote. “It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way.”
It’s not a shock that the starlet changes up her hair color often. Jenner is often seen rocking a variety of wigs and extensions on her social media pages. But Jenner’s new hair color could be her way to show some respect after her sister, Kim Kardashian, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris on Sunday, notes E! Online. While the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family went silent on social media after Kardashian’s scary incident, Jenner took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a throwback photo from her 19th birthday vacation in Turks & Caicos. Other than that, she has been pretty much silent on social media.
