‘The Real’ Canceled After Firing Tamar Braxton? Tamera Mowry-Housley Hits Back

Is The Real really facing cancellation after firing Tamar Braxton from the daytime talk show earlier this year?

Rumors began to swirl that The Real could be on the verge of being pulled from Fox’s daytime line-up after The Wrap claimed that the Season 3 premiere, the first in the show’s history not to feature Braxton on the hosting panel, debuted to less than stellar ratings and now Tamera Mowry-Housley is hitting back.

The site recently claimed that the Season 3 premiere debuted to a 0.9 rating/3 share, which the site described as being “disheartening,” while Broadcasting Cable revealed that the show suffered a 22 percent decrease in viewers when compared to the Season 2 premiere last year.

“[The Real] showed the largest declines of any talkers that haven’t already been canceled,” Broadcasting Cable confirmed of the first batch of shows to air in the wake of Tamar’s departure, which got fans speculating that the series could be in danger of cancelation.

But as rumors swirl suggesting that The Real could potentially be canceled, Tamera is now shutting down the cancellation accusations and hitting back at fans on social media.

The Shade Room reported that Mowry-Housley, who’s reportedly not exactly been seeing eye-to-eye with Braxton since the left the show back in May, hit back at Instagram users who claimed that The Real was about to be canceled in the wake of Tamar’s departure.

“How have y’all ratings been,” an Instagram user who goes by the username @lil_youngmafia asked Mowry-Housley on the photo sharing site alongside the hashtag #FINNAGETCANCELED. “But congrats to you.”

Tamera that hit back at the fan suggesting that The Real could be over and canceled, shutting down the suggestion that the series is in serious trouble following Tamar’s firing.

“Gonna stop this rumor right now. Lol,” Tamera clapped back at the fan according to The Shade Room. “Actually, we aren’t. That is a rumor.”

Another Instagram user, @brothers.cheryl, then chimed in on the cancellation rumors that proceeded Braxton’s firing, telling Mowry-Housley that “No one seems to love it now” now that Tamar is no longer a co-host.

Tamera then reportedly hit back once again, telling the social media user who alluded to Braxton’s departure, “I don’t know where you are looking. Stop focusing on the negative.”

The cancellation rumors, and Tamera’s subsequent clap back, came as a slew of Tamar’s fans suggested that the reported decline in ratings hit the show because Braxton is no longer on the panel amid reports that her firing caused serious drama for Mowry-Housley and her co-hosts.

“Seems that [Tamar Braxton] is missed more than they expected on the real with ratings at a 22% decline,” @braxtonthings tweeted out, while @Lips4daze wrote, “The Real talk show have the lowest ratings ever since firing Tamar Braxton. I heard it was boring…”

Notably, while there’s no way to prove that Tamar’s firing is behind the alleged ratings decline, the supposed fall in viewership was reported by TV sites just days after Braxton’s legions of fans threatened to boycott Season 3 because of the recent drama that surrounded Tamar’s shocking firing back in May.

A number of social media users and Tamar fans took to Twitter to make it pretty clear that they wouldn’t be tuning in ahead of The Real’s September 13 premiere, slamming the show alongside the hashtag #BoycottTheReal amid reports suggesting Tamar was locked in a pretty nasty feud with her former co-stars.

As reported by BET, Tamar appeared to make it pretty clear that she’s no longer on friendly terms with Tamera and fellow The Real co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai, slamming her seemingly now former friends on Twitter and alluding to a feud.

After Tamera claimed in an August Periscope chat with fans that things were still good between herself and Braxton following Tamar’s firing, the Braxton Family Values star then made it pretty clear that that’s not exactly the case, seemingly confirming a feud.

“I wish that I would stop being brought up since I was so BAD,” Tamar hit back after Mowry-Housley dispelled the feud rumors via Periscope. “I’ve never said anything bad nor will I,” continued Braxton in a slew of deleted tweets, before Tamar then made it clear that she hasn’t spoken to any of her former co-stars in recent months.

“No shade… but don’t believe the hype!” Braxton continued amid the alleged feud. “I haven’t spoken to [anyone]… real friends don’t need press.”

After Tamar went off on her former friends on social media, a fan then quizzed Braxton on why Mowry-Housley and Bailon attended her son Logan’s third birthday party earlier this year, to which Tamar replied by suggesting that the Adrienne and Tamera only showed their faces to dispel feud rumors.

“They came, took [pics] and left,” Braxton claimed of her former The Real co-hosts, adding that Adrienne and Tamera came to “save their a***s” as rumors of a feud swirled between the former friends.
