Dakota Johnson Of ‘Fifty Shades Darker’: Does She Have A Boyfriend?
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan recently debuted the trailer for the upcoming film from their Fifty Shades trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker, and in it, the couple is seen getting hot and heavy — as expected.
As the trailer continues to thrill, fans have been left wanting to know more about the actress who plays Anastasia Steele, Dakota Johnson, including her off-screen love life. However, because Johnson has kept her private life to herself, it is hard to say for sure whether or not she is dating anyone at the moment.
That said, recent rumors have linked her to different Hollywood personalities such as her co-star Jamie Dornan, despite his marriage to wife Amelia Warner; actor Jake Gyllenhaal; and, most recently, actor Andrew Garfield, who split from girlfriend Emma Stone at the end of last year.
“Speculations [point] to Amazing Spider-man star Andrew Garfield as the rumored boyfriend of Johnson. The two are working together for the movie Under the Silver Lake,” the Australia Network News revealed to readers on October 5.
Filming only just begun, but already, reports claim Dakota Johnson and Garfield are getting along quite well and have been communicating with one another often, even when they aren’t in production.

Dakota Johnson and Andrew Garfield’s potential relationship has not yet been confirmed, which isn’t too surprising. Although the actress was often seen with her former boyfriend Matthew Hitt, she has kept a low profile in the months since their June 2015 split.
As for the rumors regarding her possible on-set relationship with Dornan, they have been swirling for months, likely due to the intense sexual scenes they’ve filmed throughout production on the movies.

Dakota Johnson and Matthew Hitt were dating when the actress first began filming the racy trilogy, but after months of on and off, the couple called it quits.
“[Dakota Johnson] and Matthew have dated on-and-off for the past two years,” a source close to the couple told Just Jared in June. “They didn’t get a chance to see much of each other recently because their work schedules didn’t align. She’s been up in Vancouver shooting the Fifty Shades trilogy.”
Around the time the breakup was announced, Dakota Johnson was linked to Gyllenhaal, whom she was believed to have dated briefly prior to her romance with Hitt. According to a report by The Stir, via Movie News Guide at the end of June, Gyllenhaal felt that Dakota Johnson was “the one that got away.”
“Rumors also state that the actor has been trying to woo his ex back even when she was with Hitt since past two years. And now that she is single again, he is losing no time in making Dakota aware of his feelings for her,” the outlet continued.
However, according to the report, Dakota Johnson is wary of the actor, who has been linked to the likes of Rooney Mara and Jennifer Aniston, despite the fact that he has allegedly been hinting that he is ready to settle down. As for why Johnson isn’t sold on the idea of a relationship with Gyllenhaal, the report claimed the actor had previously hurt Johnson when they dated before.
“When Jake Gyllenhaal and Dakota Johnson were together, it was rumored that things were really hot and heavy. But it was Gyllenhaal who called it off suddenly five years ago, and Johnson is not ready to forget it quickly,” the site explained.
