Gwen Stefani Reveals ‘Dark Depression,’ Isn’t Marrying Blake Shelton Or Pregnant With His Child

Gwen Stefani’s ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour’ is winding down, and she’s having a difficult time closing what has been a very tumultuous chapter in her life. There have been persistent reports that Gwen is looking forward to marrying Blake Shelton and having a baby with him, but the “Misery” singer doesn’t talk like someone who has so much happiness ahead of her. In fact, Stefani recently revealed that she went into a “dark depression” after she was forced to think about her future beyond the handful of concerts that she has left.

During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Gwen Stefani shared the truth about what it feels like to face the final few performances of her “This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour.” The singer’s three children—Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2—have been on tour with her, but she’s had to part with them occasionally due to her custody agreement with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Her kids weren’t with her for her August 27 concert in Fresno, which was Gwen’s last performance before a month-long break, and it sounds like the lonely mother really needed her boys around to distract her from the intense sadness she was experiencing. Gwen tried using online shopping to cheer herself up instead, but this tactic didn’t work.

“The end of the tour was weird. I had the boys with me, then they went back to their dad, so it was just me for the last two shows. I literally found myself in a hotel room in Fresno, online shopping for 24 hours straight. I kind of went into this crazy, dark depression,” Gwen said.

However, the singer explained that her sadness was born of happiness. She spent the last year rebuilding her life by falling in love and making new music that she loves, and she doesn’t want this exciting time in her life to end. Unfortunately for Gwen, she’s been working so hard that it’s been difficult for her to find the time to truly savor every wonderful thing that’s happened in her life.

“It’s not just the end of a tour but the end of a huge chapter for me: being able to be creative again and climb out and find love and be strong enough to get to a different place. I’d been running fast, so it was really devastating for it to end.”

The tabloids are trying to write a happy ending for Gwen Stefani’s 2016. According to Hollywood Life, the print edition of Life & Style claims that she and Blake Shelton are planning a Christmas wedding and planning for a baby. Gwen’s friends allegedly told the tabloid that the 47-year-old singer has been trying to get pregnant and may already be with child.

However, Gwen Stefani actually doesn’t have a wedding and a pregnancy to preoccupy her after she wraps up her tour this month. A rep for the singer told Gossip Cop that it’s “untrue” that Gwen is pregnant and getting ready to marry Blake Shelton in December.

This news may upset many Shefani fans, but it doesn’t mean that Gwen and Blake won’t ever tie the knot. According to Us Weekly, an insider has said that “getting married is a priority” for the couple. Gwen and Blake reportedly talk about their future as husband and wife all the time, but they just haven’t put any solid wedding plans in place.

Gwen Stefani may be no rush to get into wedding planning mode because she wants to spend as much time as possible with her sons after spending weeks on the road.

“I feel excited about getting into my mom role,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “My baby’s 2 ½, so it’s the real deal now — like, ‘I wanna play with you, Mommy.'”

Gwen Stefani also said that she doesn’t see herself making another record in the near future, so perhaps she’ll have plenty of time to plan that wedding after she enjoys a few months of mommy time.
