Here’s Why Taylor Swift May Release Surprise Album For Fans In October

October is here and Taylor Swift fans are buzzing to see if the Bad Blood singer will drop a surprise sixth album. Ever since her debut album, Taylor Swift in October 2006, the 26-year-old has followed with four albums in the same month with a two-year break in between.

At the beginning of the year, Taylor Swift had said that she would take a break from music and do something new. However, Swift, who has a net worth of over $250 million, hinted that she could release an album with any publicity.

“I would really like to take a little time to learn things…the thing with me is I could very well come up with three things in the next two weeks and then jump back into the studio…all of a sudden the next record is started.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, despite Swift staying radio silent and not releasing a single during the summer, an album release still remains imminent in the fall. The former country singer has had plenty of material to inspire her. Here are four reasons why Taylor Swift may surprise us and drop her sixth album in October.

Surprise Surprise Surprise

Taylor Swift’s year has been hectic to say the least. Her less than platonic break-up with Calvin Harris made headlines as well as her “fake relationship” with Tom Hiddleston which only managed a few months. There was also the small matter of the brouhaha with Kim Kardashian showing Taylor endorsing a controversial line, her rapper-husband, Kanye West used in his song, Famous.

Swift who is known for narrative songs about her personal life has enough fodder to record a double album. Moreover, the lack of magazine and talk show buzz leading to the album release could be attributed to her not wanting to get caught up in the maelstrom of addressing questions about her exes or Kimye. Taylor Swift is a genuine superstar. Like Beyonce, she can drop an album without marketing and promotion and easily move one million units in a week.

Ten Year Music Career and Still Counting

It has been ten years since Swift’s multi-platinum debut album. She released the album October 24, 2006. Taylor’s last tour date was in Australia in December 2015. Her only concert date for the year will be at the Formula One US Grand Prix on October, 22, in Austin, Texas.

The Grand Prix is a huge post-race event that has been previously headlined by Elton John. The event syncs in beautifully with Taylor Swift’s ten year anniversary. It would be a great time to sing new songs from her album or let the world know it is coming.

Swift Squad Member Says She is Working Like Crazy

Swift was spotted supporting bestie, Gigi Hadid at a New York fashion show this year. In a backstage interview, the model said she was grateful that her friend who bagged three Grammy awards with her last album could attend her show even though she was busy working in the studio.

“She’s obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again and really made time to be here for me.”

After two publicized break-ups in six months, Swifters know that making music is therapy for Taylor Swift. Scott Borchetta, president of Taylor’s label, had denied a new album was in the works with a “Nope.” The tweet has since been deleted.

Taylor Just Loves the Number 13

It is an open secret that Swift has an obsession with the number 13. Some people believe the number carries pots of bad luck, but for Swift it is her lucky charm. She paints the number on her hand before every show.

In addition, she was born December 13, her first album did gold in 13 weeks, tour for her fourth album, Red, started March 13, 2013, and every time she has won an award she was seated somewhere that had the number 13 tied to it.

“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter…whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”

Taylor Swift’s sixth album date might just be October 23, 2016.

That’s a Sunday night in October before the 10th anniversary of her first album release. Coincidentally, the Shake It Off singer will play her first concert in over a year.

Add the numbers 1 + 0 + 2 + 3 +1+ 6…what do you get?
