Ben Foster And ‘OITNB’ Laura Prepon Engaged: People Didn’t Know They Were Dating! How Did They Keep It A Secret?

Orange Is The New Black star Laura Prepon is engaged to the Hell Or High Water actor, Ben Foster, and most people had no clue the celebrity couple was even dating each other. How did the actors keep their relationship a secret from the public? Prepon showed off a giant, sparkling engagement ring at The Girl On The Train premiere.

According to People, a source confirmed that the low-key couple was in fact engaged.

There were photographs of the former That ’70s Show actress hanging out with Ben Foster in New York this past summer. However, the private couple remained free of any traces of a romance on social media for months.

Laura Prepon has been in the entertainment industry since her teenage years starring on That ’70s Show, but she has never been one to share much about her private life with the public.

You won’t catch this actress at any bougey industry parties, posing for paparazzi, or updating her social media accounts on a daily basis.

Ben Foster’s fiancé gave an interview for Marie Claire earlier in the year, in which she spoke about how important it was for her to have a private life.

“I’m like, I’m not gonna spend my day updating my social media. I want to enjoy and live my life. I want to let people in, I want fans to know what I’m doing, but there’s also a lot I keep close to the vest.”

Before dating Ben Foster, Prepon dated actor Christopher Masterson for years. Masterson was the brother of her That ’70s Show co-star, Danny Masterson.

Prepon and Masterson split in 2007, and oddly enough, she dated another Foster before Ben, actor Scott Michael Foster, from 2008 to 2013.

Ben Foster was previously in a relationship with House of Cards actress Robin Wright. The two were engaged in 2011 and split after 11 months. The couple reconciled a few months later, but in the end, they broke off their engagement for good in August 2015.

Although it might seem as if Ben Foster’s engagement to Laura Prepon came out of nowhere, the pair has apparently known each other for some time now.

Ben Foster, 35, is the longtime friend of Danny Masterson, and Prepon and Foster have been friends since they were 18.

Ben Foster is best known as an actor in Lone Survivor, 3:10 to Yuma, Warcraft: The Beginning, and The Mechanic.

In 2008, Foster won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Special for Bang Bang You’re Dead.

Back in 2004, the actor won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for starring in a drama series called Six Feet Under.

Foster and Prepon both were happy to appear on the red carpet together for premiere of The Girl On The Train on Tuesday. Prepon proudly wore her brand new engagement ring while photographers snapped photos of the couple before they went into the theater.

Ben Foster and Laura Prepon’s engagement announcement was not the only one the Orange Is The New Black cast was celebrating this past week. Co-star Samira Wiley flaunted her sparkly new ring from her new fiancé Lauren Morelli on Instagram in an adorable shot.
