Kim Kardashian ‘Blaming Herself’ For Being Robbed, Asks Kanye West Not To Replace $4 Million Ring

Kim Kardashian is reportedly “blaming herself” for the terrifying ordeal she suffered in Paris early Monday morning, in which five masked men wearing police jackets robbed her at gunpoint and left her tied up and gagged in the bathroom. The men reportedly took a jewelry box worth $6.7 million and a ring worth four million.

Since news of the robbery went their rounds in social media, many have taken to blaming Kim Kardashian for what happened to her in Paris, with many saying that her knack for showcasing her wealth online was what led to the robbery. There are some who said that the incident was staged by the Kardashian clan to serve as a publicity stunt.

It turns out that they are not alone, as People reports that Kardashian is also blaming herself for what she had gone through in Paris.

“Kim is in shock and blaming herself. She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time. This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does,” a source told People.

The same source also said that West offered to replace the ring but Kim Kardashian refused, saying that she just doesn’t want to think about it.

“Kanye wants to buy Kim the ring again but she just says she doesn’t want to think about it. He says he wants everything to go back to normal and for the incident to not affect their lives,” the source said.

Not long after the robbery, West was informed about what happened to Kim Kardashian while performing at Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, New York on Sunday night. West was forced to leave the venue, citing a “family emergency.”

Kardashian reportedly told the French police that the burglars only spoke French, but she noted that they used the words “ring, ring” repeatedly, apparently to ask her where her ring was. At that point, Kim realized that they were looking for the new ring her husband West had recently given her. Kim told them where the ring was while also begging the men to spare her life, reminding them that she is a mother. They then taped her mouth shut.

Kim Kardashian’s friend Simone was reportedly sleeping in the downstairs bedroom when the burglary happened. After hearing the commotion upstairs, Simone locked herself in the bathroom and phoned the bodyguard and Kourtney to ask them to come to the apartment. Kim’s bodyguard Pascal arrived two minutes after the men left.

As to what could possibly have happened to Kim Kardashian’s jewels, an ex-jewel-thief-turned-crime-prevention-advocate Larry Lawton said that they’re probably out of the country already, according to Stuff.

“Within a few days, they’re gone. They’re fenced. You’re looking at (a specialized and organized) distribution network, that’s how you get rid of high-dollar things. You don’t go to a guy on the corner and say, ‘Hey, I got this ring from my grandma,'” he said.

The Kardashian (and Jenner) family seem to have decided to restrain themselves from posting on social media since the robbery, well except for that one time Kylie posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a bathing suit during her summer vacation on Tuesday night.

It is a drastic change in status quo for the Kardashian family on account of the fact that posting about the products that they’re wearing and using is an integral part of their business.

No one knows yet whether the French police have advised Kim Kardashian and her family to lie low until their investigation has been concluded.
