Dolly Parton On Staying Slim On The Road And Celebrating 50 Years Of Marriage

Dolly Parton may be slim, but she has never shied away from her passion for food, according to Fox News. She may look as if she eats nothing but salad for every meal, but it turns out the 70-year-old country music legend is actually a big eater.

In her interview with Fox News, Dolly Parton admitted that even though she is “a short little thing,” she has a “big, country girl appetite,” so she has to watch her diet in order to not put on weight.

“I’ve been every size in the world, [but] I’d be big as a house if I ate everything I wanted so I’m a big eater.”

Dolly Parton revealed her secret to staying fit even though she is constantly on the road. Her secret is to stay on a low-carb diet, because when eating carbohydrates in low quantities, “you can actually eat quite a bit of food of the things you’re allowed.”

A decade ago, Dolly Parton released her own cookbook, called Dolly’s Fixin’s, in which she shared her favorite recipes from her childhood and the food she eats on the road. Another indication that Parton loves food is her theme park, Dollywood, which has established a good reputation for its food offerings and service.

In fact, earlier this year, Dollywood, which was founded by Dolly Parton herself, took out the No. 2 spot in Best Food and Cleanest Park categories at Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards. But the country music singer certainly doesn’t rely on fast food to keep herself healthy and fit on the road.

While Dolly Parton admits that they have great caterers on the road, sometimes she wants to eat something that is usually cooked at home, like chicken dumplings or pork roast.

In other news, just last month, Parton released her 43rd album, called Pure & Simple. With her new album, Dolly Parton has once again proved that even though she is 70-years-old and has been in the country music industry for over 50 years, she still has what it takes to top Billboard’s charts. Her Pure & Simple album placed No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Country Album Chart.

But the album reached the No. 1 spot as the best country album recently, according to Rolling Stone. In fact, it was Dolly Parton’s first No. 1 best country album in 25 years. And to celebrate the occasion, she shot a glamorous lyric video for her single “Head Over High Heels” from the album.

Although many thought that Dolly Parton’s eye makeup was very similar to that usually sported by Adele, the clip still has many details that make it worthy to watch. In particular, this clip has an emphasis on hot pink.

In the video, Dolly Parton is seen getting ready for a date, during when she plans to “woo” and “undo” her date, according to the song’s lyrics. Her album, meanwhile, was released to celebrate her and husband Carl Dean’s 50th wedding anniversary this May.

In her interview with Rolling Stone Country, Dolly Parton revealed how they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, saying that she dressed up in “the most beautiful gown you’ve ever seen.”

“He looked like a handsome dude out of Hollywood. We had a few family and friends around.”

Dolly Parton also admitted that they didn’t plan anything big because they are not fans of any kind of “strain, tension or any kind of commotion” during events like this. All they had was a little ceremony at their chapel at their favorite place.

“We just had a few people who needed to be there to make sure they got the pictures and the few things that we needed. We just had fun with it.”
