NFL Power Rankings

This is going to be a new weekly feature here at the Inquisitr. Each and every Wednesday from now until the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs I will be sharing with all of you my weekly NFL power rankings. So what makes me think I am qualified to do so, well I am the NFL Draft writer for Examiner.com, I also am a beat reporter for the Detroit Lions, and I hold NFL Press credentials. While not everyone is going to agree with my rankings, that is really the point. I would like these power rankings to be a center point of discussion for the 2009 NFL season.

Now the Rankings:

1. Pittsburgh Steelers- they are the champs until someone takes it from them

2. San Diego Chargers- It looks like they have the tools to dominate

3. New England Patriots- A great team with a great QB

4. Atlanta Falcons- Good QB, team added weapons

5. New Orleans Saints- Prolific offense

6. Indianapolis Colts- Peyton is still the man

7. Green Bay Packers- it is time for Aaron Rodgers to step up

8. Minnesota Vikings- they have the best RB in the game, and Favre to run the offense

9. Tennessee Titans- they look to be starting where they left off in 2008

10. New York Giants- Would be higher if they didn’t have questions at WR

11. Arizona Cardinals- Play in a weak division, and good dominate again

12. Dallas Cowboys- Can Tony Romo lead this team back to the playoffs?

13. Philadelphia Eagles- Can Vick get them over the hump?

14. Baltimore Ravens- the defense is still the strength

15. New York Jets- at some point Mark Sanchez will look like a rookie QB

16. Chicago Bears- Jay Cutler may not be the answer

17. Houston Texans- they are much improved, but still have something to prove

18. Carolina Panthers- Have many questions remaining to be answered

19. Seattle Seahawks- Have left their window of opportunity

20. Denver Broncos- This team is a mess

21. Buffalo Bills- Probably on their way up may need a year to gel

22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- New Coach, new QB, who really knows yet

23. San Francisco 49ers- Questions at QB, and unable to sign first round draft pick

24. Cleveland Browns- New Coach and system may be better with Brady Quinn

25. Jacksonville Jaguars- Can David Garrard step up?

26. Miami Dolphins- Still a few pieces away

27. Washington Redskins- Daniel Snyder is one of the worst NFL owners

28. Kansas City Chiefs- Cassel will miss the opener, but this is still a bad team

29. St. Louis Rams- still rebuilding

30. Cincinnati Bengals- still on the decline

31. Detroit Lions- Until they win, they stay at the bottom

32. Oakland Raiders- Bad team, Coach may be arrested, what a mess
