SyFy 31 Days Of Halloween 2016: What Are Some Highlights On The Schedule This Week? [10/3-10/9]

The SyFy channel’s October tradition is back to scare and entertain. The “SyFy 31 Days Of Halloween” has an entire months worth of thrills, chills, and shrills that arguably put last year’s “31 Days of Halloween” to shame. Every day in October, the SyFy channel will be adapting its programming to air some of their best TV shows and movies that best depict the Halloween season. October 3, 2016

4:00 p.m. – The Faculty: This Halloween movie follows a group of high school students who believe their teachers have been swapped out by aliens. The movie stars Jordana Brewster and Josh Hartnett.

6:00 p.m. – The Town That Dreaded Sundown: This is the 2014 version of The Town That Dreaded Sundown. The original was made in 1976. In the town of Texarkana, a hooded serial killer once terrorized the people. Now, 65-years later, a figure that looks like the serial killer has come back to reek havoc on the small town once again. The movie stars Addison Timlin and Veronica Cartwright.

October 4, 2016

12:00 a.m. – Identity: Identity is a psychological thriller with an all-star cast that will have you glued to the edge of your seat until the twist ending. The story follows 10 strangers that find themselves stranded at an out of the way hotel. How are the strangers linked to each other? Starring John Cusack, Ray Liotta, and Amanda Peet.

11:00 p.m. – The Cabin In The Woods: A group of five friends get together at an old cabin that they broke into. The group of friends quickly discovers that they are in way over their heads. Starring Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, and Anna Hutchison.

October 5, 2016

4:00 p.m. – I, Frankenstein: The classic horror movie monster gets a fresh story in this 2014 movie. Frankenstein finds himself caught in the middle of a fight between gargoyles and demons that are trying to find the way to live forever. Starring Aaron Eckhart and Yvonne Strahovski.

6:00 p.m. – Shutter Island: A United States Marshall is tasked with finding a murderer that has vanished from a mental institution. This institution is located on an island that is about to be caught in the middle of a strong hurricane. The marshall’s investigation leads to the discovery that doctors may be using their patients for experimentation. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo.

October 6, 2016

11:00 a.m. – The Core: Earth is about to experience doomsday when a scientist realizes that the Earth’s core is no longer spinning. A specialized team embarks on a mission of drilling into the center of the Earth to try and get the core spinning again. Starring Christopher Shyer and Ray Galletti.

9:00 p.m. – Wrong Turn: If there is one thing that horror movies teach it is to always stay on the main roads. Wrong Turn follows a group of young adults as they attempt to survive crazy cannibals while lost in West Virginia. Starring Eliza Dushku and Desmond Harrington.

5:00 p.m. – You’re Next: Many people dread family reunions. This family reunion, in particular, quickly turns deadly. Who will make it out alive? Sharni Vinson and Nicholas Tucci.

2:30 p.m. – Darkness Falls: Is there anything more innocent than the Tooth Fairy paying your child a visit in the middle of the night? In one particular town, the Tooth Fairy is possessed by a spirit that was created after the people of Darkness Falls lynched her 150 years ago. Starring Chaney Kley and Emma Caulfield.

4:30 p.m. – The Box: Would you do anything for $1 million? A married couple acquires a mysterious box in which they will get $1 million if they press the button inside of it. The problem is that if they do press the button, someone they know will die. Would you press the button? Starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden.

October 9, 2016

6:30 p.m. – Blade: Marvel is represented this week in “SyFy’s 31 Days Of Halloween.” Blade tells the story of a half-man/half-vampire hybrid who becomes a dangerous vampire hunter. Starring Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff.
