Adam Levine Leaving ‘The Voice’? How His Feud With Miley Cyrus Made Him Want To Be Home With New Baby, Dusty Rose

Adam Levine’s time on The Voice might be at an end.

The Maroon 5 frontman is reportedly leaving the singing competition after this season. Did his feud with Miley Cyrus make him want to leave?

Hollywood Life reported as early as last season that Levine wants to leave The Voice before the show starts to lose viewers.

“Adam has had enough of The Voice,” an insider stated. “He wants to make this his final season. He doesn’t want to stick around until the show is in decline. He wants to leave on a high note.”

Levine just welcomed a new baby with his wife, Behati Prinsloo, which is another factor in his decision to exit the show.

“He and Behati really want to start a family,” the source explained.

Levine has not commented on the rumors of his departure. If the pop star decides to leave after this season, there is a chance that fans will see him again down the road.

“He’s open to revisiting the show in a couple of years as a mentor,” the insider shared.

It sounds like Levine is ready to move on with his life, but did his ongoing feud with Cyrus have anything to do with his departure?

According to Blasting News, Cyrus and Levine do not get along behind the scenes.

Although they have been kind to each other in front of the cameras, Levine and Cyrus don’t event talk to each other on set. Levine reportedly avoids Cyrus so that he doesn’t have to bump into her while filming.

Apparently, their feud started after Cyrus went after some contestants Levine really wanted on his team. To make matters worse, Miley hasn’t taken any of the advice Adam Levine gave her and instead dives head first into things like she is the boss.

Inquisitr has previously reported that the fighting between Cyrus and Levine has gotten so bad that she was left in tears after a recent squabble.

“Adam and Miley were non-stop bickering during their last taping together,” an insider revealed, adding that Levine takes issue with “almost every single thing” that Cyrus does.

The feuding has reached a point where Cyrus considered leaving the show. Despite her troubles with Levine, and to a certain extent, Blake Shelton, Cyrus is determined to win the competition.

“[Miley] refused to be beat by the old men,” a source told the outlet.

Indeed, Cyrus has quickly become a legitimate threat to Levine and Shelton as the coaches prepare their teams to win it all.

Speaking of winning over singers, Cyrus opened up about her struggles with the selection process.

“When you don’t turn the chair for somebody, it’s so confrontational, and I’m really not confrontational,” Cyrus shared. “I get really embarrassed and I’ll make it my fault — like, ‘I don’t know! I was high! I forgot to turn my chair!”

Cyrus has managed to attract some of this season’s top talent. In order to put a stop to her lead, Shelton criticized Cyrus for talking too fast, which the “Wrecking Ball” singer quickly dismissed.

“[The other coaches] can make fun of me for talking fast, but I think people can feel my enthusiasm,” she told the camera.

Shelton and Cyrus later butted heads after the country crooner told her she was speaking too loudly to the contestants. In response, Cyrus called him a bully and ended up winning over another contestant.

For now, it looks like Cyrus is holding her own this season on The Voice.

Whether or not her success is the cause of Levine’s departure is yet to be seen.
