Tristan Thompson Being Investigated? Find Out Who Wants To Know Everything About The NBA Player

When a man gets involved with a Kardashian, he should expect two things: lots of headlines about his every move, and a little bit of vetting.

And since Tristan Thompson is reportedly dating Khloe Kardashian, it’s time for the investigation to begin. According to one unnamed source, Khloe Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, is leading the charge.

At least, that’s what OK! magazine is reporting. In the print version of the celebrity gossip tabloid, OK! alleges that momager Kris Jenner is looking into Tristan Thompson’s background on every level because she simply “doesn’t want another Lamar [Odom] on her hands, so she’s taking all of this very seriously.”

“Kris is sparing no expense to have every aspect of Tristan’s life uncovered. She’s found investigators who used to work for the Israeli secret service, and they’re poring over his financial records and interviewing people who’ve known him since birth. They’ll also be following his every move while he’s involved with Khloe.”

The unnamed source goes on to report that Kris and Khloe’s Kardashian sisters don’t believe that Khloe is capable of choosing a “good man” for herself. As a result, Kris is secretly digging into the Cleveland Cavaliers player’s life so that she can unearth and deal with any skeletons right now.

“Kris doesn’t trust her daughter to choose a man who doesn’t have some kind of major problem. [Jenner is] working overtime to find whatever unsavory details might exist about Tristan. Khloe has no idea Kris is doing this but her sisters do, and they approve.”

Her sisters approve, OK! reports, because they believe Khloe chooses “losers and needs all the protection her family can give her.”

In the past, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has had to deal with the drama caused by the alleged drug use and infidelity of her husband, Lamar Odom. Khloe and Lamar married in 2009 after a whirlwind romance and spent much of their marriage trying to work out issues between the two of them, much of which was documented on their reality TV show, Khloe & Lamar.

Khloe eventually filed for divorce in 2013, though she withdrew her divorce petition after Odom was found unconscious in a Las Vegas-area brothel from an apparent drug overdose. Kardashian rushed to Odom’s side and helped nurse him back to health before re-filing for divorce this past May.

Additionally, Khloe Kardashian dated NBA player James Harden. The relationship was relatively low-key, but Kardashian insisted during an episode of her now-canceled talk show, Kocktails with Khloe, that Harden cheated on her. Kardashian even went so far as to say that she had the receipts to prove it. She and the Houston Rockets player split in January.

If Kris Jenner wants to protect her daughter, it’s understandable that she would look into Khloe’s new beau from every angle possible.

According to Gossip Cop, the entire story of a Tristan Thompson investigation is a bunch of hooey. The gossip-busting website insists that the OK! magazine story is simply “not true.” In their write-up dismissing the OK! report, Gossip Cop slammed the tabloid and asserted that nothing of the Tristan Thompson investigation rumor is true.

“Maybe the magazine should hire its own private investigators to look into why its articles about the Jenners and Kardashians are so inaccurate. In any event, Gossip Cop checked into the tabloid’s latest tale, and a source close to Kris Jenner assures us she has not hired people to spy on Tristan Thompson. We’re told the allegation is 100 percent ‘not true.'”
