Iggy Azalea And French Montana Just Friends? Instagram Pics Suggest Otherwise

Iggy Azalea may insist she’s still single, but her Instagram profile suggests otherwise.

As reported by TMZ, Azalea recently posted a pic to her Instagram of several diamond rings gifted to her by none other than rumored boyfriend French Montana. And while they don’t appear to be engagement rings, they do seem to indicate something pretty serious is going on.

Azalea captioned the pic “He told me pressure makes diamonds???? @FrenchMontana????@iceman_nick” never hiding the fact that it was Montana who sent her the gifts. As reported by The Daily Mail, the “Fancy” singer was also seen packing the PDA on during a Mexican getaway

“In between kisses, the ‘No Shopping’ rapper shared a snap on Instagram as he lounged on the yacht’s deck with a bikini-clad Iggy by his side and his little brother Ayoub Kharbouch,” the article revealed. It also said that Iggy Azalea is using her time as a judge on The X-Factor Australia to help her through her recent personal troubles.

“I’m extremely competitive. I really want to win The X-Factor,” Iggy said. “I’m looking for somebody that I would want to be friends with.”

Iggy Azalea has certainly gone through her share of turmoil and could use a friend these days. She recently opened up to People magazine about how her breakup with cheating Nick Young affected all aspects of her life including her professional one. She cited her breakup with Young as the reason behind the delayed release of her new album, Digital Distortion.

“I needed a lot of time,” she said when describing the breakup with Nick. “I mean, you wake up one morning and your fiance is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right?”

She continued, illustrating how going from engaged to single again drove her lyrics and songs into a different direction.

“I just kind of felt like, on top of me needing the personal time, then feeling, ‘Okay, I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single.’ I obviously didn’t write that on my [original] album because when I wrote it I was about to get married… I don’t want to go and promote my album and get asked about my relationship that has just crumbled.”

Making matters worse for Azalea is the fact that she desperately needs the album to reestablish her within the hip-hop community. And while she’s been way too successful to this point – she was nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2015 – to call her sophomore album a comeback album, it’s not too far a stretch thanks to a heap of damage to her image suffered because of feuds with other rappers.

The most devastating claim made against her was made by her nemesis, rapper Azealia Banks, who claimed Iggy was appropriating black culture to sell to white America and that she didn’t deserve the accolades she was receiving.

She was also infamously called out by Nicki Minaj for supposedly not writing her own lyrics and that insinuation was doubled down by R&B singer Erykah Badu, as reported by the Mirror, a year later when she said, “What [Iggy is] doing is definitely not rap” live on stage.

Throw in Twitter wars with A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip and Snoop Dogg, and the resulting bad PR finally caused her to be dropped by T.I., her former mentor and the man who discovered the Australian sensation.

But the silver lining it seems for Iggy Azalea is, in fact, her “non” relationship with French Montana. Pressure may indeed make diamonds, but diamond rings do indeed help take the pressure off.
