Blake Lively Gives Birth, Gets Hospital Visit From Taylor Swift
Blake Lively gave birth to her second baby with husband Ryan Reynolds! According to Page Six, the actress and her actor beau welcomed their littlest family member at a Manhattan area hospital. Details about the baby’s gender, weight, and length were not immediately made available and, of course, the name that the couple chose for their new addition has not yet been revealed.
According to E! News, the newest Lively-Reynolds offspring arrived just a month after Blake was feted with a baby shower in New York.
“Last month, Lively celebrated their little one’s upcoming arrival with an intimate baby shower. A source confirmed at the time that the celebration was held at the Bedford Post Inn in New York. Guests started arriving around 11 a.m. local time and enjoyed the 90-minute gathering in the heart of Westchester County.”
Shortly after Blake Lively gave birth, she was visited by at least one super famous friend from her girl squad. Reports indicate that Taylor Swift was one of the first people to show up at the hospital to meet the new baby. Blake and Taylor recently became good friends, and the two have hung out together on various occasions.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were on hand for Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July soiree at her stunning home on the Rhode Island coast. The two were among the crowd of celebs frolicking on the beach and catching some rays. Blake and Ryan displayed quite a bit of PDA, and Blake showed off her growing baby bump in a two-piece. They looked like they were having a fantastic time, and they clearly furthered their friendship bond that weekend.
Taylor Swift seems to adore children and has been very hands-on whenever her friends have babies. In fact, Swift is actually the Godmother of Jamie King’s son! King is also part of the ever-growing TS Girl Squad, of course! No word yet on whether or not she will be made a bigger part of baby Reynolds’ life.
Despite Taylor Swift showing up at the hospital to visit the new baby Reynolds, Blake and Ryan are extremely private people. They secretly welcomed their first child, a daughter they named James (named after Ryan’s father), in December 2014. The couple didn’t announce their new arrival and were able to keep their baby news under wraps for several weeks.
Of course, Blake and Ryan were very careful about sharing information about their newborn daughter as well. The couple kept the name James quiet for several months and dodged questions on talk shows several times. They made it a point to keep their child out of the media and out of the public eye, and they did a great job.
Despite the ever-present paparazzi, not many people have actually seen the child’s face.
About a year ago, there were a few pictures of James Reynolds that surfaced, but that was a super rare shot. According to News Australia, the family of three were photographed by paparazzi while on a boat heading to Lord Howe Island in New South Wales, where Blake was filming The Shallows.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have both said that they love children, and they would like to have a big family.
Although Blake and Ryan are private, they do enjoy talking about being parents. The couple is very real about parenting and often tells it like it is, which tends to be great. They make jokes, and they absolutely seem to love raising their little girl.
