Hilary Duff Dating John Walsh: Enjoys Single Life After Divorce

Hilary Duff is enjoying her 29th birthday and the single life. The Younger star just coyly admitted that she’s been dating her personal trainer John Walsh for the past few months. Even though the two have been working out together for some time now, they only started dating this past June.

According to a new report via Entertainment Tonight, Hilary Duff and John Walsh are officially dating. The former child star has confirmed that she’s been dating her personal trainer. Duff first confirmed their relationship during an appearance on Good Day New York on Monday, Sept. 26.

“We have [found a little ‘like’ with each other],” she told Rosanne Scotto. “We have known each other for a really long time and he’s a great guy and we have a lot of fun together. It’s nice to have that excitement in my life.”

Ask if the two were in an official relationship, the singer threw her hands up in the air, indicating “Yes,” according to the report. Duff and Walsh have been romantically linked for the past few months. Rumors picked up steam when they were spotted holding hands in New York City this past Saturday. The new pair were spotted on a shopping trip in Soho followed by a quiet dinner in Tribeca later that evening. The next day, Duff was spotted getting pizza with Walsh.

Even an alleged source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the two are dating.

“They are officially dating. They started as friends and are now full-on dating. They are having fun and Hilary really likes him. They are getting pretty serious. Jason is with Hilary in New York and will stay with her there until she finishes filming. Everyone is so happy for her. She deserves the best.”

Duff finalized her divorce from former NHL star Mike Comrie back in February. Despite their split, the former couple are still good friends and even better co-parents. The source added photos were taken over the weekend of Comrie and their 4-year-old son Luca with Duff’s older sister, Haylie, her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg, and their 1-year-old daughter, Ryan, at a farmers market in Los Angeles.

“They’re all still close. It’s amazing how they have been able to stay on good terms, especially for Luca. Haylie and Mike always had a great relationship, and Mike and Matt are friendly. Mike is a great dad and really loves Luca.”

Duff has recently been spotted amid her 29th birthday celebration. She celebrated in total style, as reported via the Daily Mail. Duff was photographed leaving The Greenwich Hotel in New York City in a metallic pink sweater, in which she paired with tan suede Gauchos and strappy heeled sandals. Duff pulled her look together with long silver earrings, a gold necklace, a yellow snakeskin handbag, and a big smile on her face.

Earlier that day, Duff was spotted wearing a black leather mini skirt, which she paired with a white lace blouse layered over a camisole. She completed her look with an olive green coat worn over her shoulders, nude pointed-toe pumps, a metallic pink clutch, and gold hoop earrings. Duff has been enjoying the single life since becoming divorce.

Last year, Duff documented some of her dating journey in her new music video for “Sparks.” She joined the popular dating app, Tinder, and went out on dates with guys. Shortly after the music video was released, Duff admitted that she no longer uses the app to date even though her profile is still up on there. Unfortunately, her dating journey didn’t go as planned, according to her interview with Pridesource.

“I’m not still using it. It was really fun for a minute; I wanted to experience something totally normal and also shock people. No one thought I was really on it – and I was really on it! So I integrated that into my video (for ‘Sparks’) and showed a side of me that’s really, really, really normal.”
