Linda Hogan Responds To Hulk’s Sex Tape, DUI Charge

It’s been a busy week of controversy for the Hogan clan. First there was Hulk’s sex tape and then ex-wife Linda’s DUI, and the latter has released an official statement on both issues.

Linda Hogan, the 53-year-old ex-wife of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Calabasas on Thursday, and was reportedly in the hospital shortly before the bust, reports the LA Times. Linda was arrested around 1:30am by Los Angeles Country sheriff’s deputies and released before 9am from the Lost Hills station after posting a $5,000 bail.

“She regrets it. She’s a mom, so she’s embarrassed about it,” lawyer Raymond Rafool told The New York Daily News, via The Hollywood Gossip. “She’s just thankful it wasn’t worse and thankful nobody got hurt. The police were all very nice. It wasn’t a scene at all. It was anticlimactic.”

He also said that Linda had been previously hospitalized for an e coli infection, and the medication she was on may have played a role in the DUI. Rafool downplayed suggestions that Linda’s arrest had anything to do with Hulk’s sex tape.

“We intentionally want it known we have no comment on the sex tape,” Rafool said. “They have moved on to a nice, peaceful place in their relationship. They’re working hard to be peaceful co-parents. Even though their kids are adults, they still need their parents.”

Hulk, meanwhile, is scrambling to get his sex tape off the internet, having issued a cease-and-desist warning to Gawker for posting a clip of the tape along with a snarky, unflattering review. He has made it clear that if the clip isn’t removed, he intends to sue.
