Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Divorce Back On After ‘Justice League’ Star Breaks The News In The Car

It has been more than a year since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they were separated. In that time, the couple has confused fans by spending more time together than ever. There were even rumors of reconciliation when Affleck and Garner went on vacation together with their kids to celebrate his birthday back in August. Now tabloids are reporting that Ben Affleck is ready to divorce Jennifer Garner and he broke the news to her in the car while plenty of bystanders watched her break down.

The Hollywood Gossip reports that after habitual divorce rumors it looks like Ben and Jen may really be headed for splitsville this time around. They cite a report from In Touch that claims Ben has been spending his time with another woman and that may have played a role in his decision to go ahead and end their marriage.

“The divorce is moving forward — their business managers are hashing out their finances right now — and Ben wants to get on with his life,” an insider said. “Jen started crying when Ben told, but he’s had enough.”

According to the report, Ben Affleck told Jennifer Garner that he was ready to move on and get the divorce everyone has been talking about and to make matters worse, he did it in the car. Apparently, Jennifer was seen breaking down in tears in the car as Ben tried to make her feel better but to no avail. The whole thing reportedly went down on Tuesday while Ben and Jennifer were out and about in Los Angeles.

“There was a lot of gesturing, and it seemed intense. Jen looked really upset like she was crying. Ben seemed both detached and, at other times, like he was reaching out to her,” a source supposedly told In Touch.

This isn’t the first tense time between Garner and Affleck to be reported recently. It wasn’t long before the Tuesday outing that Jennifer was said to be “holding back tears” while Ben shot her a few hateful looks. Despite their attempts to reconcile for the sake of the kids, it looks like Ben and Jen just aren’t working out. The biggest problem is that Jennifer really wants to stay together and rumor has it that Ben really doesn’t care anymore.

Before the dinner date sans kids where Ben and Jen looked pretty unhappy, the actress dished about a trip she took with the kids to England so they could see their dad on-set as he filmed for the upcoming Justice League movie. According to the Daily Mail, Jennifer even explained that she wanted her kids to be able to experience their dad playing Batman for the epic film. She also explained that theirs was a “modern family,” which could be interpreted as a clue about Ben and Jen’s current relationship status. It’s pretty clear that they are still living together and putting on appearances for the sake of their kids.

Does Jennifer’s modern family statement mean that they truly aren’t a couple and Ben is free to see whomever else he wants? Maybe that’s where the mystery brunette rumors have gained traction because if they are just living together and holding on to keep their family intact, it makes sense that he’d want to see romance elsewhere.

Even with the latest Bennifer divorce news, no filings have actually been made. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner still live together with their three children and so far, it looks like none of that is going to change any time soon. That doesn’t mean that friends and fans aren’t hoping that the pair will just go ahead and call it quits for good. After all, sometimes it’s better for the kids if their parents aren’t miserable as they try to hold it all together.
