‘This Is Us’ Spoilers: Which Character Is Really Dead?
In the short time that NBC’s hit show, This is Us, has been on the air, spoilers for the show have been abounding. Now, this latest set of This is Us spoilers may reveal that one of the cast members we’ve come to know and love may really be dead!

In their newest round of This is Us spoilers, Mashable is reporting that Jack (played by Milo Ventimiglia) is actually dead. As we saw from the last episode, in the present day, Rebecca (played by Mandy Moore) is involved with Jack’s best friend Miguel, and Jack is no longer in the picture. Moreover, Randall’s daughters refer to Rebecca and Miguel as “grandma” and “grandpa,” meaning that Miguel has been in the picture for long enough that Jack isn’t even a thought in the children’s minds.
So, is it possible that Jack is really dead, and has been for quite some time? And if so, how did Jack meet his unfortunate fate? Remember, in the last episode, Miguel was a little too close to Rebecca for reasonable comfort. Could it be that Miguel had a hand in Jack meeting his fate?
These latest This is Us spoilers are certainly supplemented by Milo Ventimiglia himself, who, in a recent conversation with the International Business Times of India, revealed that there’s a lot about his character we’ve yet to discover, but the end result is heartbreaking nonetheless:
“I think people can expect, hopefully, a good display of how a good man deals with marriage and fatherhood and career and any of the things that kind of get thrown at these human beings… and how you try to do your best and still keep love involved in your life in every possible way.”
Milo also revealed that, in the coming episodes, we will see his character deal with the so-called “curveballs” that life throws his way, and we will also see Jack and Rebecca through the decades. This suggests that, even if Jack is really dead, we will still be seeing more of Milo Ventimiglia on our small screens… for now, anyway. And given that NBC has recently ordered a full season of This is Us, there’s a good chance we’ll be developing more of an affection for Jack as the weeks go by.
Finally, other This is Us spoilers reveal the fate of some of the other characters on the show. Movie News Guide recently had a chance to speak to the executive producer of the show, Dan Fogelman, who confirmed that the characters on the show are Jack and Rebecca’s children. He also revealed that the coming episodes promise more “emotional heartbreak” as far as the characters are concerned, and that viewers will be drawn into the show week after week.
In the coming weeks, Fogelman promises that we will see Rebecca struggle to adjust to life with her new family, and while the characters will be rewarded with “little victories,” they will also suffer extreme heartbreak and loss.
Fogelberg said that the reason he set up the show this way was so the viewers could “see” themselves — and others — in the show’s main characters, and to also appreciate life’s joys, no matter how small, as they come along.
This is Us has already garnered 14.3 million viewers, and was rated a 4.5 amongst their target 18-45 demographic. The trailer for the show’s pilot has already received more than nine million views on YouTube.
