Marion Cotillard’s Boyfriend Denies Rumors Of A Brad Pitt Affair, But Angelina Jolie Is Convinced?

Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt began facing rumors of an affair earlier this year as production on their World War II drama, Allied, began in London.

According to reports over the spring, Marion Cotillard was a “breath of fresh air” to Brad Pitt, who was experiencing drama in his life at home with wife Angelina Jolie.

“[Marion Cotillard] must feel like a breath of fresh air to him,” an insider told OK! Magazine, via Hollywood Life, in May.

Throughout the past few years, Jolie has reportedly faced “many health problems” and was accused of straying from her marriage to Pitt. However, just because Jolie reportedly cheated on her partner didn’t mean that she was okay with Pitt’s alleged on-set affair with Marion Cotillard. In fact, the source claimed the actress would be irate if she discovered evidence of a romance between the co-stars.

“She would be furious if Brad and [Marion Cotillard] were sleeping together,” the source said. “It’s sad because they do still really care about each other, but it’s looking like the only way out of the jealousy and misery is a divorce.”

According to a second report, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were at odds after Jolie informed her husband that she felt betrayed by his behavior with Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Caplan on the set of Allied.

“Angie and Brad have had some serious arguments, and she told him she feels betrayed by him,” a source told Life & Style magazine, via the International Business Times. “Recently, Angie became so enraged when Brad was talking about how great Lizzy was, she threw him out of their bedroom.”

Pitt also “gushes about how cute [Marion Cotillard]’s accent is or talks about what a great actress she is,” the source continued. “Angie is hoping their marriage can be saved, but she’s going to be gripped by fear the entire time [Brad is filming].”

Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt continued to film Allied up until weeks ago and once filming was complete, Pitt and his family, including Jolie and their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8, returned to Los Angeles. Upon their return, the couple appeared to get back to their normal lives and they were frequently seen shopping and having meals with their kids. Then, on September 19, Jolie filed for divorce and Marion Cotillard was immediately named in the rumors regarding why she decided to call it quits with Pitt.

After reports once again linked Brad Pitt to Marion Cotillard, she and her longtime partner, Guillaume Canet, responded on Instagram. While the couple stayed silent earlier this year, they chose to address rumors of an affair after Jolie filed for divorce. In their statements to fans, both Marion Cotillard and Canet, who is not yet married to the actress (despite reports labeling him as her husband), denied the rumors of her relationship with Pitt and proclaimed their love for one another.

Marion Cotillard and her boyfriend have been dating for about a decade and share one young son, Marcel Canet, 5. They also have a child on the way, which was ironically announced just one day after Jolie’s divorce filing.

While Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet have spoken out against the reports, another Hollywood Life publication suggested that Jolie was not convinced that Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt didn’t have an affair. According to the outlet, Jolie knew Pitt was attracted to the actress prior to the start of filming.
