Britney Spears Garners High Praise For ‘Energetic’ & ‘Magic’ Apple Music Festival Performance
Britney Spears is receiving high praise for her stellar performance at London’s Apple Music Festival.
Britney performed her first show in the U.K. in almost five years at the prestigious Roundhouse in Camden, London, on September 27, and despite receiving somewhat mixed reviews for her most recent performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, Spears was showered with praise following her Apple Music Festival appearance.
Fans from around the world who were able to watch Spears’ entire 90-minute set live via Apple Music flocked to Twitter to praise Spears on her performance, noting that the “Make Me…” singer looked “energetic” and “happy” during her trip to the U.K.
“What does everyone think of [Britney’s] performance?!? She killed it!!” @britneysgalaxy tweeted of Spears’ Apple Music Festival performance, while @britbrit1fan added, “Do you ever just wanna cry tears of joy cause Britney looks so happy.”

“[Britney] brought [fire] #AMF10 #AMFBritney,” Spears fans @BJSInspiration tweeted out following Spears’s Apple Music Festival performance. “She slayed, was energetic: perfect! We R So Proud Of U Britney.”
“You know Britney is truly a legend when she’s still able to top the game 20 years into her career #AMFBritney” Twitter user @Wildsixteen added of Spears’ well-received performance.
But it wasn’t just social media users who heaped on the praise for Spears following her Apple Music Festival set, as a number of reviewers also remarked on Britney’s stellar performance during the 10th anniversary of the London festival, which has already seen big names like Alicia Keys, Elton John, and One Republic take to the stage this year.
“The Princess of Pop proved she can still perform with the best of them as she threw herself into relentlessly high-energy routines that saw her keep step with some of the world’s bet professional dancers for an hour and a half,” Attitude commented on Britney’s high energy Apple Music Festival performance.
“Britney brought the magic of her Vegas residency as she left the crowd stunned and thrilled,” The Mirror added of Spears’ rare London show, while The Sun remarked that Britney “is at her peak right now – one of the world’s greatest ever popstars – and boy she knows how to put on a show.”
And it looks like the high praise for her big performance made its way back to Spears herself.
Britney took to social media to comment on her Apple Music Festival performance, which marked the star’s first concert in the British city since she performed at London’s Wembley Arena as part of her “Femme Fatale Tour” in 2011, to thank her fans for coming out to the Camden show.
“The energy tonight was INCREDIBLE!!!” Britney told her more than 47 million Twitter followers on the 140-character site following her performance. “@AppleMusic thank you so much for having me.”
According to E! Online, Spears incorporated all her biggest hits into the energetic show at London’s Roundhouse, including her 2003 smash “Toxic,” her 2007 single “Piece of Me” as well as her latest single “Make Me…”
While stunning fans during her rare international concert and receiving rave reviews for her Apple Music Festival set, Britney appears to be making the most of her time in London as she’ll also be making appearances on a slew of British shows in support of her new album Glory, which dropped last month.
According to Britney fan @DannyWxo, Spears will be chatting with BBC Radio 1 on September 28, making an appearance on the morning show Lorraine on September 29 and will then be performing on late night talk show The Jonathan Ross Show on October 1.
