Is Angelina Jolie already moving on from her marriage to Brad Pitt?

According to a new report, Jolie, 41, is leaning on her former co-star, Johnny Depp, for support after splitting from Pitt after two years of marriage.

“[Angelina Jolie] idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set,” a source told the Sun, via the New Zealand Herald on September 26.

According to the report, 53-year-old Depp recommended lawyer Laura Wasser to Angelina Jolie. As fans may recall, Wasser represented Depp in his divorce from former wife Amber Heard, who accused him of being abusive towards her during their marriage.

In May, as she filed documents to end their marriage after just 15 months, Heard claimed Depp was physically abusive and shared alleged evidence of an assault to the court which featured the actress with bruises on her face. However, during the finalization of their split, Heard dropped all charges against him and agreed to an offered settlement.

As The Sun source noted, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp have kept in touch since working on the Tourist years ago and as Depp endured his messy split from Heard, Jolie was reportedly in contact with the actor.

“The two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny’s break up with Amber,” the source explained.

Just like Johnny Depp’s split from Amber Heard was quickly plagued by shocking allegations of abuse, Angelina Jolie’s split from Brad Pitt has been met with accusations of a physical encounter. That said, the alleged abuse that took place during Jolie’s marriage reportedly happened between her husband and her oldest son, Maddox, 15, and was reportedly prompted by Pitt being intoxicated.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are the adopted parents of Maddox, but it was Jolie who initially adopted the child from Cambodia as a single parent. Jolie also adopted their daughter, Zahara, 11, from Ethiopia as a single parent but Pitt later adopted the two children as his own and also adopted 12-year-old Pax from Vietnam with his wife.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are also parents to three biological children, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.

As for the possibility of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp’s relationship playing a part in her split from Pitt, the Sun source denied any such thing but added that there might be reason to believe that a relationship could happen between them in the future.

“There’s no suggestion that their closeness played any part in Angelina and Brad’s split. But they have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny’s lawyer to represent her based on the advice that he has given her,” the source explained. “Her friends are now speculating about what could happen between them if she and Brad are not reconciled and their divorce goes through.”

“All of Johnny’s friends are expecting things to turn romantic between him and Angelina sooner than later,” a source added to Hollywood Life. “She’s admitted to him that he had a crush on him since his 21 Jump Street days when they shot The Tourist together. He told her she as one of the most beautiful women he’d ever seen.”

In response to the Hollywood Life report, a source close to Depp told Gossip Cop there was “no truth” to rumors regarding his future hook-up relationship with Angelina Jolie.
