Brad Pitt Has Joked About ‘Beating My Kids’ In The Past

Brad Pitt has been in the news each and every day since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce last week. Many believe that Pitt had an affair, which caused Jolie to make the decision to file for divorce. Others are beginning to believe that Pitt has anger issues that he took out on the kids, which forced Jolie’s hand for the sake of her children.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Pitt has joked about beating his kids in the past. It was an obvious joke at the time, but those comments have come back to haunt him in the media with the recent allegations that his anger issues could have been taken out on his kids.

“I beat my kids regularly. It seems to do the trick. And I deprive them of meals.”

Those comments came five years ago, but they have been brought back up again now. The entire entertainment industry has been rattled by the news that Brangelina will no longer be around.

People is reporting that the FBI is unlikely to proceed with an investigation into Pitt for child abuse.

Since the divorce, it doesn’t sound like Pitt has been handling things very well. He has reportedly been crying his eyes out and begging to see his children. It is rough news, to say the least, but it does seem that his emotion is sadness rather than the anger some outlets continue to report.

“Brad can’t help but break down into tears thinking about it. He’s been crying a lot, probably more than he ever has. It’s heartbreaking to see this good man be brought down like this. But no matter how bad he’s hurting, Brad won’t let himself fall to pieces. He will dust himself off and be strong not because he wants to, but because he has to for the kids. Protecting them is all that he cares about.”

George Clooney, a close friend of Pitt’s, was hoping that his friends could salvage their marriage. However, that doesn’t appear to have much of a chance at this point in time. It would take a miracle for Pitt and Jolie to move beyond the past week and get back together.

Now, all attention needs to be given to the six children that will be affected by the situation. Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, will all feel the issues that stem from their parents’ divorce. Pitt and Jolie need to focus on making the transition as smooth as possible for their children, rather than continually arguing over custody.

Jolie has requested sole physical custody of the children, while Pitt has made it clear that he will not stand for it.

As previously noted by the Inquisitr, Pitt and Jolie have a solid prenup in place. Getting finances and properties divided will not be much of an issue in the grand scheme of things.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Pitt and Jolie. The news of a divorce came suddenly, especially with news breaking after the divorce was filed by Jolie that the couple had been looking into adopting their seventh child.

Don’t expect to see the Pitt and Jolie news and rumors slow down anytime soon. It doesn’t sound like Pitt will be facing any issues from the child abuse accusations that have been thrown his way, but his past jokes certainly haven’t helped him in the public eye.
