Kelly Dodd Shares Details Of Her Complicated Marriage: How Does This All Work?

Kelly Dodd is new to The Real Housewives of Orange County this season and the fans want to get to know her better. Kelly obviously has a very strange relationship with her husband, Michael Dodd. All About the Tea shared that on an upcoming episode, Kelly will reveal a bit more about her relationship with Michael and how they make it work. Their relationship is a bit different than people are used to seeing.

For a while, Kelly wasn’t even with Michael. She reveals that she had filed for a legal separation from him and then moved on. Dodd even met another man and got engaged, but in the long run that ended up not working out for her. Kelly went back to Michael and they never got a divorce. She says that they are back on track now, but fans can tell that everything isn’t perfect.

When explaining their marriage now, Kelly Dodd said that they have issues like any other couple, but they are happy. The thing is their marriage is a bit odd still. Here is how Kelly explained things.

“We’ve both gotten older, wiser, a little bit more patient with each other. He realized it’s cheaper to keep her and I realize, you know, if you’re with one a**hole, you might as well be with your a**hole husband with a kid.”

Kelly Dodd says that neither one of them want to get divorced. That is actually something that sounds good for their relationship, but it is still a bit strange to people. It sounds like they will try to make the marriage work no matter what.

Kelly wrote a blog on Bravo recently where she shared her thoughts on the recent drama with Shannon Beador and her mother-in-law. Kelly didn’t hold back at all on this one. She shared that this was the first time she had been to Shannon’s house and that the two were finally starting to get along with each other. She shared that as soon as Shannon saw her mother-in-law walk in at the girl’s performance, she told them that her mother-in-law hates her.

Dodd said that Donna (Shannon’s mother-in-law) stood by her during the performance and cheered on the girls. Kelly said she felt awful for the girls over what happened and shared the details of what went down.

“Now, contrary to what you may think, I didn’t want to get involved in Shannon’s family soap opera. Without picking sides, I can tell you what I saw and heard. To me, Donna’s emotions seemed genuine. She was telling me that Shannon does not allow her to see her grandchildren, which made me really sad because I know how important my Jolie is to my Mom and vice-versa. Donna seemed to be emotionally hurt. She was upset and the tears were flowing. I empathize with Donna. I was very close to both of my grandmothers. Every parent knows that time with our children is precious. I am sure it’s a difficult situation for everyone involved, especially the girls.”

It does look like Kelly Dodd is finally getting along with Shannon Beador. This is going to make things easier for her on The Real Housewives of Orange County if they decide to keep Kelly around for another season on the show. Viewers can’t wait to see the rest of the season and how it all happens.
