Taylor Swift: Why She Turned Down Katy Perry’s Offer To Collaborate If She Apologized

Taylor Swift is not planning to collaborate with Katy Perry in order to end their ongoing feud once and for all.

The twosome have been feuding since 2014 when Taylor infamously claimed that Perry had stolen her backup dancers in the midst of planning for her world tour. The dancers ended up jumping ship and found themselves going on the Prismatic tour with Katy instead, which infuriated Taylor Swift at the time.

It would eventually lead to Swift to pen her hit record “Bad Blood,” which sources say is an indirect diss track aimed at Perry for going against their friendship and attempting to sabotage Swift’s tour, the Mirror explains.

Two years later, however, fans have been wondering whether or not Katy and Taylor will ever make up and put their pointless feud to rest. When the “Rise” singer was questioned on whether she could ever see herself collaborating with Swift in the near future, the platinum-selling singer made it known that she was open to the idea — as long as Taylor was ready to apologize.

“Sure, if she says sorry,” Katy Perry tweeted. According to a new report, however, Taylor Swift found Katy’s comments laughable, because the former country singer has no plans on apologizing or ever getting in a studio booth to record a duet with someone she simply cannot stand.

Swift reportedly finds it funny that Katy is wanting her to make the first move and apologize when Perry was said to have been the one who started the drama in the first place. On top of that, the subliminal shots that the “Roar” hitmaker made towards Taylor earlier this year in support of Calvin Harris when he dissed his ex-girlfriend via Twitter were also very much uncalled for.

Calvin had stressed that he will not allow Taylor to sabotage his career the way she tried with Katy’s, to which Perry responded with a gif image of Hillary Clinton making a rather surprised facial expression.

Katy’s input in the drama between Taylor and Calvin is another reason why the “Shake It Off” belter has no interest in ending her feud with Perry anytime soon. In fact, a source reveals how the 26-year-old even joked about Katy’s lack of achievements being one of the reasons why she can’t see herself working with her.

“Why would Taylor want to collaborate with someone whose latest single, ‘Rise,’ didn’t even break the Top 10? Taylor is a ten-time Grammy winner. Katy has zero Grammys,” a source tells Hollywood Life.

Celeb Dirty Laundry then weighs in, saying that this sort of behavior by Taylor Swift is the exact reason why she has found herself making so many negative headlines lately. From her feud with Calvin Harris to the Kardashians, and even lying about her acknowledgment of Kanye West’s “Famous” track.

Swift has done herself no favors this summer, which makes it even more confusing as to why she doesn’t just want to end her feud with Perry — that way, she can take one person of her list of Hollywood enemies, CDL continues.

“Not only has she tarnished her reputation with her nasty Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston breakups, along with her Kim Kardashian and Kanye West feuds, but she’s also digging her heels into Katy Perry by hinting that she’s not even worthy of a collaboration with her, let alone an apology.

“[Katy] was willing to extend an olive branch to Taylor in an effort to put the past behind them but it might be years before Taylor realizes how her petty behavior and mean girl mentality might end up hurting her in the long run.”

Do you think Katy Perry and Taylor Swift will ever end their feud between one another?
