Taylor Hanson And Wife Welcome Fifth Child

Taylor Hanson and his wife have announced the arrival of a new baby girl, their fifth child.

The singer, 29, told People:

“Natalie and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest family member, Wilhelmina Jane Hanson. She arrived on Tuesday, October 2, and was welcomed by more love than could fit in the room.”

The star, whose band Hanson has sold more than 16 million records worldwide, now has three sons and two daughters (almost enough for two Hansons!) with Natalie, his wife of eight years.

The couple used website Nameberry.com to choose Wilhelmina Jane’s unique moniker; I’m sure it’s a decision the little one will thank her parents for after years spent in playgrounds.

Previously, Natalie told Us Weekly:

“Thinking back on all the children’s names has helped give me a fresh perspective in choosing the name for the baby girl we are expecting in the fall. It has helped remind me how the right name seems to come at the right time, and how, no matter how ‘perfect’ the choice, it will only be a part of all this little person will become.”

The couple, who tied the knot back in 2002, are parents to Ezra, 9, Penelope, 7, River, 6, and Viggo, 3.

While having five kids before the age of 30 may seem unusual to some, Taylor Hanson says he and Natalie had always planned for a big family. He told People:

“After two kids, you’re outnumbered. So once you cross having three, having [more] is not such a big deal.”
