Pippa Middleton Gives First Interview Since Engagement, Ready To Launch New Book, But Slammed For Secret She Reveals

Pippa Middleton has been quite removed from the spotlight since becoming engaged to James Matthews back in July. The sister to Duchess Kate Middleton, however, was not often out of the tabloids and headlines over that duration due to apparent drama that the engagement allegedly stirred up between she and sister, Kate Middleton.

There were rumors of feuding over Kate’s place in the wedding party, if one was reserved for her at all, and there was talk that the Queen was not a fan of the union between Pippa and James, seeing as James’ brother Spencer is a reality star who chats a little too freely to the tabloids.

However, Pippa finally spoke out in a recent interview given to the Daily Mail about all of her frustrations with the tabloids and media, as well as about the manner she is spoken of by many. The interview was a means for Pippa to not only promote her soon-to-release book, but also speak her piece about who she truly is and how the public has got her status wrong.

The Daily Mail shares the words of Pippa on the subject of being called a socialite, and how it irks her.

“People see me as someone privileged who has used my position to advantage; that I don’t really work, that I am a socialite – that word really irritates me – and that I’m a party girl without any substance.”

Middleton has an education and has been in the career world ever since graduation, but most recently is known for her publishing efforts with her first book, Celebrate, which did not do very well and received terrible reviews. Pippa spoke about the poor response to her first book.

“I believed in it and I can’t blame anyone else, but maybe it might have been better if I had waited a bit longer before doing it.’

This time around, Pippa is sticking to topics she is often asked for advice on, fitness and food, with the book Heartfelt. A portion of profit will be donated to benefit the British Heart Foundation, for which she’s been an ambassador since 2014. However, during the interview, the beauty admitted that she has not even tried all of the recipes which she has added to the food section of the work.

“I would like to say I have made every single one, but I have definitely done a good 80 per cent of them. I made a lot of the dishes at home.”

For this, the Duchess’ sister received a bit of criticism since giving the interview. It does seem a bit of a sham for a food enthusiast to add recipes that she herself hasn’t actually tried to make. Pippa has shared about the dishes she cooks to put a smile on her soon-to-be hubby’s face, however. Hungry Forever shares about how food was the way to James’ heart.

“Food has apparently played a special role in their relationship. Pippa reveals that it was a special dish of roasted halibut with roast tomato and herb dressing that helped her win James’s heart. ‘I am sure he might choose a different dish as his favorite, but it was a very special dinner for us. You roast the halibut and serve it with lentils. It’s delicious. James loves it.'”

Pippa’s “almost healthy” cookbook is set to hit shelves and be available for purchase on September 29, so the reviews will likely come pouring in following that date, as to whether this effort has been a redemption for the 33-year-old or not. It is certainly a brave move to take another shot despite the criticism she received on her first go.
