Brad Pitt To Be Prosecuted For Child Abuse? Friends Speak Out

The reports about the dramatic demise of “Brangelina” continue to swirl, and among a number of alleged reasons Angelina filed for divorce from Brad is the incident during which Pitt reportedly lunged at teenage son Maddox on a recent flight.

Although there was talk that Brad would be prosecuted for child abuse in the matter, evidence is lacking and therefore any charge brought against the Hollywood heartthrob will not hold up in court, prosecutors state. There will be no action taken against Pitt seeing as there are “so many discrepancies” in the case, as The Mirror notes.

“It appears cops did not receive a report over the incident and Maddox had no injuries when visited by social workers. Also, a legal expert added: ‘It appears Brad made contact with Maddox somewhere in the vicinity of the shoulder area. The biggest issue — whether it was intentional or inadvertent. It’s the job of prosecutors to prove it was intentional, and we’re told that would be extremely difficult'”

The main point of contention is the blurred line between abuse and parental discipline. Experts on the legalities involved when it comes to such a case share that it is unlikely that a successful prosecution will be the result.

Angelina is said to be keeping the 52-year-old Pitt from his six children until the investigation by the FBI is complete. The family is residing at a secret location until this happens. The incident between Brad Pitt and 15-year-old Maddox occurred on a private jet last Wednesday. There is, however, footage of Brad and Maddox’s exchange that may vindicate the Ocean’s 11 actor, seeing as he was merely seen yelling at the teen and there were no signs of a physical altercation.

There have been a tremendous number of stories that have emerged since Angelina filed for divorce this past week. Some state that Brad was completely devastated over the human rights activist’s actions and that he has been brought to tears on a number of occasions since. It has been stated that Brad will fight for joint physical custody of the couple’s six children and that he was utterly shocked by Jolie’s decision to end their 12-year relationship and two-year marriage. A source spoke on Pitt’s mental state since Jolie filed.

“He is beside himself and has been crying. He was completely caught off guard and blindsided and had no idea she would do. Angelina filed the court papers a minute before the courts closed on Monday night. He didn’t have a lawyer or anything. She had threatened divorce in the past but he did not think she would file this time.”

The FBI has spoken of Pitt’s behavior since the investigation has begun, noting that the actor is “cooperating fully,” and that they are “continuing to gather facts.”

Sources who know Pitt well state that the star and father is attentive and loving towards his children.

“He [Brad] is a very caring and attentive father and it’s sad that people are continuing these smears, which only hurt the children and the entire family.”

As the publication notes, Brad has been accused of being “wasted” and “screaming” while in mid-flight between Europe and L.A. He was yelling at Angelina, during which Maddox jumped to his mother’s defense and Brad reportedly lunged at his son. A source spoke about how the story is an exaggeration and a fabrication of facts, as Daily Mail Online relays.

“It’s unfortunate for the whole family that people are insisting on continuing this endless smear campaign against Brad that hurts everyone. They are a solid family with two caring parents and a normal share of disagreements. Hopefully people can move on and leave them all alone to work this out.”
