Kim Zolciak Reflects On Life One Year After Stroke, Kroy Biermann Divorce Rumors Swirl
Kim Zolciak opened up out her September 2015 stroke on Instagram on Friday.
One year after a stroke led to her sudden exit from Dancing With the Stars, the Don’t Be Tardy star and mother of six spoke out about how life has changed.
“[One] year ago today my life changed,” Kim Zolciak wrote in a post to fans on September 23. “Having a stroke has changed me in so many ways.”

“At 37 I thought I was invincible..boy was I wrong,” she continued. “I thank God everyday that I’m still here on this planet. I didn’t know that would be my last dance however I wasn’t feeling that good that day, even [Tony Dovolani] noticed something was off but rather than listen to myself I pushed through. Not smart.”
Kim Zolciak went on to reveal that she often puts her husband, Kroy Biermann, and their kids, Brielle, Ariana, Kroy Jagger, Kash Kade and twins Kaia and Kane, in front of her own health.
“There is (usually) warning signs. Had I not taken excedrin migraine the day before the stroke I’m not so sure where I would be (has aspirin in it which thinned my blood),” Kim Zolciak admitted. “Listen to your body, it can happen at any age.”
Kim Zolciak was paired with Tony Dovalani during Dancing With the Stars Season 22 but after suffering a stroke, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was unable to fly, which prevented her from continuing on with the competition.

In other Kim Zolciak news, the reality star has been facing rumors of a potentially impeding split from Kroy Biermann ever since Biermann lost his job with the Buffalo Bills. After spending several years with the Atlanta Falcons, Biermann entered free agency and was ultimately picked up by the Bills. However, after just weeks with the team, Biermann was cut and left jobless.
Shortly after the cut was made, Kim Zolciak added to the divorce speculation when she showed up in New York City for fashion week without her athlete husband.
“He’s got a lot going on with football,” Kim Zolciak explained of her husband’s absence during an interview with Radar Online. “Kroy has been in the league for so long and he wants to find the perfect fit for him and kind of what works for him and our family. He’s been with the same team for so long so this is a big change, but he’s excited.”
According to the report, Kim Zolciak’s husband was supposed to be with her but chose to instead fly home after his unemployment was announced.
Another report suggested that Kim Zolciak was planning to welcome a seventh child in an effort to avoid a divorce from Biermann. On September 17, the outlet claimed Zolciak was attempting to convince Biermann to have another baby so that their marriage would be saved.
During a recent episode of Don’t Be Tardy, Kim Zolciak was seen chatting with her husband about adding another child into their already large family.
“I just love being a mom. Come on, you love dogs and babies and you love me pregnant,” Zolciak reasoned.
However, Biermann didn’t seem to be on board and told his wife, “That’s all fine and dandy but that ends.”
