Jonah Hill Resumes ‘War Dogs’ Promotions Despite Being Insulted Live On Air

Jonah Hill’s annoyance in a recent interview on Le Grand Journal, the French television news show, proves that no matter how popular a celebrity is, journalists still need to think twice before commenting or joking about their sex appeal.

The multitalented Jonah Hill is widely known around the world thanks to his films like The Wolf of Wall Street, Moneyball, and This is the End. In fact, the actor was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street.

For many people, Jonah Hill is the actor who perfectly complemented Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio in Moneyball and The Wolf of the Wall Street respectively. But little did the Superbad star knew that Ornella Fleury, the French television weather presenter and aspiring comedian, would openly make fun of him for having a lower sex appeal than the other actors who worked with him in his hit movies.

Jonah Hill’s confrontation with Ornella took place in one of the most recent episodes of Le Grand Journal when the French comedian began to tease the actor. During the show, Ornella started out strong by admitting that his work as a demon-possessed character in This is the End captured her attention, after which she began to fantasize about him. However, Jonah Hill clearly deflated when the reporter went on to say that, in her fantasies, Jonah Hill’s role is to bring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio along with him and then disappear altogether. According to Cinema Blend, an apparently annoyed Jonah Hill commented on his slighting by the weather presenter, who he noted was not even a part of the news team.

“I’m glad I came to this show to get ridiculed by your local presenter.”

Despite being a comedian, Jonah Hill took the joke in bad taste. Later, the weather presenter apologized on television, but her remorse failed to satisfy the Wolf of Wall Street actor, who canceled all the interviews that were scheduled as part of his efforts to promote War Dogs, his latest movie, at the 42nd Deauville American Film Festival in France.

While it was initially reported that Jonah Hill had indeed canceled the remainder of his interviews after the disastrous appearance on that particular show, the A.V. Club later confirmed that Jonah Hill had decided to resume his promotional tour.

Jonah Hill’s fans seemed to be surprised that their favorite star would take the joke to heart. Just a few days back, Jonah was seen entertaining the crowds by dancing along with Vic Mensa at Kanye West’s concert at Madison Square Garden. Kanye West’s New York concert, a part of his ongoing Saint Pablo tour, had several celebrities as a part of the show. According to Time magazine, both Jonah Hill and Vic Mensa were seen rocking to Kanye’s rap numbers in a mosh pit while Kanye was performing on a floating stage above them.

It seems that Jonah Hill has earned the highest respect as one of the most multitalented celebrities in show business. Apart from being an actor, Jonah Hill is also a screenwriter and one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Now, the actor is also trying his hand in the field of film direction, having recently revealed that he will be working on the direction of a new film called Mid ’90s, a movie about a 90s boy who learns life’s valuable lessons from his skateboarding team. According to Just Jared, Jonah Hill spoke about how appropriate it was to pursue his primary passion after gaining valuable experience in the film industry.

“That’s what I wanted to do before I was an actor. I think it all works out. I’ve come really close to directing a film, but I’m really glad I didn’t do it in my 20s.”
