‘American Horror Story’ Spoilers: Big Twist Coming For Season 6 ‘My Roanoke Nightmare’

American Horror Story spoilers have teased that Season 6 of the FX hit may incorporate two different themes. When the title of the newest season in the anthology series “My Roanoke Nightmare” was revealed, many still wondered exactly what the latest offering from Ryan Murphy and crew was really about. Now that fans are two episodes in, there is still an air of mystery about the true theme and direction of the show.

Season 6 of the anthology series started out as a faux docu-series where Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Sarah Paulson play actors in a re-enactment of a young couple’s move into what seems to be a haunted farmhouse in North Carolina. The whole thing is very “Murder House” which made fans wonder what else is going on, considering that Ryan Murphy and the rest of the American Horror Story crew certainly wouldn’t just totally revisit the theme from the very first season.

It turns out that isn’t all there is to Season 6’s “My Roanoke Nightmare” and there is a huge twist coming. Cuba Gooding, Jr. has previously teased that AHS fans were in for a huge shock when everything we think we know takes a huge turn.

“When you see this season, you’ll realize how to interpret that Twilight Zone idea to an entire other level,” Cuba told Vanity Fair. “ When your head goes ‘boom’ and you’ve got brains all over the wall, you’re going to be like, ‘Motherf***ing Cuba Gooding, Jr.’ I wish I could tell you when it happens, but I can’t.”

It turns out that the mystery of Season 6 still isn’t solved, and Ryan Murphy recently admitted that a big twist is coming and it’s going to blow everyone’s minds. Murphy wants fans to stick with the faux docu-drama because at Season 6, Episode 6, the whole thing will take a drastic turn and it’s going to get really interesting.

“You’ll see starting in episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you’re watching is not what you’re watching.”

Apparently, American Horror Story spoilers won’t even matter when it comes to the Episode 6 twist because the idea is so off-the-wall, no one is going to guess what will happen.

“Even though the subject matter has gotten out, it’s irrelevant because nobody gets what we’re doing,” says co-creator Brad Falchuk on the upcoming twist. “No matter what you think it is, it’s not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you’re like, ‘Wait! What happened?'”

Ryan Murphy said during the interview that Season 6 is split into two halves and at the halfway point, the whole thing will just take a sharp turn. Falchuk disagrees and says it’s more like three parts because Episode 10, the finale, is completely different altogether. No matter what, neither of them are giving up the details on the next American Horror Story surprise.

There have been some pretty interesting theories already thrown out about what the mindblowing twist may be. It has never been a secret that Ryan Murphy was planning to connect all the seasons and it looks like Season 6 might be the one that starts tying up some loose ends.

With the close resemblance to “Murder House,” many fans are wondering how that season may be tied to the present one and one Vanity Fair theory is so eye opening that it just might be the one. What if Billie Dean from Season 1 is Sarah Paulson’s character in Season 6 playing the docu-drama character in the re-enactment of Shelby’s experience played by Lily Rabe?

Murphy said that “My Roanoke Nightmare” was set in the present day with glimpses of the past. So what if Billie Dean did, in fact, realize her dreams of being an actress and this is her big screen debut?

The clues are all there, including the Episode 2 revelation that the murderous nurses were literally spelling “murder” on the walls. It was also revealed that there is a production crew filming something at the original house used for “Murder House,” but no one really knows details of what is being filmed there. Considering that Season 6 of American Horror Story has been very secretive about what they are doing and where they are going, is it possible that the biggest connection between two seasons is about to go down?
