Selena Gomez’s Drama Isn’t Affecting Justin Bieber — Even After His Split From Sofia Richie

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were involved in a dramatic Instagram encounter last month, but according to a new report, the singer is leaving their relationship drama in the past and focusing on his career and his family as his Purpose World Tour continues in Europe.

Not only did Bieber refuse to contact Selena Gomez after she announced struggles with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, he’s instead said to be distancing himself from his ex-girlfriend by surrounding himself with positivity.

According to a report by Life & Style on September 20, Justin Bieber treated his eight-year-old sister, Jazmyn Bieber, to a trip to the American Girl Place in Los Angeles earlier this month and a short time later, he was spotted bonding with his dad, Jeremy Bieber, in Munich, Germany.

While Selena Gomez may not be thrilled with her former partner ignoring her, the report went on to reveal that her friends are happy that he’s saying away.

“He’s moved on,” the insider explained. “She needs to accept that.”

Earlier this summer, Justin Bieber struck up a romance with Sofia Richie, the 18-year-old daughter of musician Lionel Richie. Throughout the month of August, Bieber and Richie appeared to be in a full-blown romance and were spotted together in Japan and in Mexico, where they were celebrating Richie’s birthday.

During Justin Bieber’s trip to Mexico, he made it clear that Sofia Richie had his attention as they flaunted their love for one another on the beach. They were even seen kissing and sharing embraces as photographers snapped photos of them. However, just a short time later, the couple parted ways.

“They were never officially together, but more casual hanging out and having fun,” a source told E! News earlier this week. “It was super-hot and heavy, and because Justin doesn’t want a relationship right now, he wanted to cool things down. It wasn’t an intentional cool-off, [it] just sort of happened on its own.”

According to the report, Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie are planning to stay in touch after their split and could soon be seen together yet again.

“They are still friends though and will continue to see each other like they did before they were dating,” another insider shared. “They are taking a backseat though on the romance side of things and just focusing on being friends at this time.”

According to another report last week, Selena Gomez is in a “free fall” and her drama with Justin Bieber is at the center of her issues.

“Her problems are a combination of drinking, partying and her lupus,” a source told In Touch Weekly.

Following Selena Gomez’s fight with Justin Bieber on Instagram, which included allegations of cheating on both sides, the singer canceled her Revival World Tour and the magazine insider claimed Gomez’s breaking point occurred after Gomez saw photos of Bieber and Richie on Instagram.

In mid-August, Bieber posted a photo of himself and Richie on Instagram which featured the couple sitting in the back seat of a car in Japan. In the caption, he threatened to make his account private if fans continued to be mean to his new flame. Then, after Gomez told him to stop posting photos of himself and his new girlfriend and told fans he cheated, he deleted his account entirely.

The In Touch Weekly source also claimed Justin Bieber and his family were praying for Selena Gomez in hopes of the singer getting the helps she needs.
