‘The Flash’ Season 3 Teaser Poster Released: A Whole Lot Of Red Teases ‘New Destinies’

Have you been itching for another glimpse of The Flash Season 3? Well, you don’t have to wait any longer. The CW released The Flash Season 3 teaser poster, which hints a whole lot of red and teases exciting “new destinies.”

Okay, so it’s not the promo that you really wanted. There are no new insights into the new world Barry Allen will find himself in or the types of villains he will face this season. We also don’t know if this timeline change will affect anything in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow or if it will have an impact on Earth-2 and Supergirl.

All we know is that there is a lot of red. Does that mean a lot of blood or anger? The color could mean either or even both! There are certainly going to be some mixed feelings in The Flash Season 2, as Barry realizes that bringing his mother back changes his friendship with Cisco.

It is possible that the red is linked to the “New Destinies. New Dangers” tagline on the post. Danger would indicate that there is going to be more blood this season. Of course, red is also a sign of danger, so it could just be linked to the second part of that tagline for that reason.

At first glance, it screams that something urgent and scary is about to happen. It looks like the Flash is on his way to an emergency, and it’s more important to him than ever before to get there right away. Even his costume has been brightened up to blend in with the background.

This is certainly going to be an interesting season. The Flash Season 2 finished with Barry going back in time and changing the past. He saved his mother, and that has led to some major changes in the future. Not only is Cisco no longer his friend, but he’s a billionaire with no knowledge of who Barry Allen is.

There are rumors that Patty Spivot will return. Shantel VanSanten, who plays the character, started the rumors after being asked if she would return. She said that there was a “strong possibility if everything works out.” Of course, she’s not allowed to say yes or no, so this was the closest that she could say, suggesting that she wants to come back. Maybe her schedule with The Flash Season 3 is getting in the way.

Some fans are interested in the character VanSanten could now play. While she has an Earth-2 counterpart, she has only been mentioned in passing. There is also the issue with the move into Flashpoint, which could dramatically change her Earth-1 character. In Earth-1, her father was murdered, cutting off her education temporarily. Is it possible that Barry stopping his mother’s death will stop her father’s death?

Right now, there isn’t much to work on. There are lots of questions surrounding the latest The Flash Season 3 teaser poster and the trailer shared during the summer break. So far, we know that Kid Flash will make an appearance during this season, and there are possibilities of crossovers with other CW superhero shows. There are already plans for a crossover to start with Supergirl Season 2 on Mondays and then move into The Flash on Tuesdays. This crossover could move into Arrow on Wednesdays and conclude with Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays. This would make sense, and not just because of the days. Supergirl already knows the Flash, while the Flash already knows the Green Arrow and the Legends.

What do you think about The Flash Season 3 teaser poster? What does all the red mean for you? Does it mean danger or is it a bad Photoshop as Collider suggests?

Don’t forget The Flash Season 3 returns on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
