Once Upon A Time Season 6 premieres on ABC network in five days. One couple that fans are concerned about is Rumple and Belle. Is there any hope for “Rumbelle” or are they doomed? Things don’t sound too good, according to executive producer Edward Kitsis.

OUAT spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading if you don’t want to know details about what to expect.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a massive Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoiler roundup revealed Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) future is uncertain. There is new information regarding “Rumbelle” and fans should be concerned.

According to TV Guide, Edward Kitsis revealed some information on Rumple and Belle‘s relationship. The executive producer explained there is a lot of hurt and heartbreak. As OUAT fans know, Rumple has lied to Belle numerous times. Last season, he insisted he was a changed man. However, Kitsis teased that Rumple isn’t going to change because he enjoys being the Dark One on Once Upon A Time.

“Rumple declared last year that he was a better man, but he isn’t going to change. He likes being the Dark One. Now that they have a child, it’s just going to get messier this season.”

OUAT co-creator Adam Horowitz added that Belle is wondering how to move forward. He also discussed Rumple and Belle’s complicated relationship. It sounds like Belle is going to have to do a lot of thinking, especially now that she is pregnant.

“It’s because they’ve had that love between them, what’s happened to them is so terrible and ripped them apart in such a difficult way. She’s really struggling with how to move forward. Rumple has positioned himself in a position where it appears to be an untenable relationship. Belle has to figure out, ‘How do I raise this child and what do I do about his father?'”

A while back, Emilie de Ravin spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what to expect from Belle in Season 6 of Once Upon A Time. The actress revealed that her character will be more independent and confident. She also hinted that there could be a separation.

“It’s been a long time coming. Now that she’s pregnant, and now that she knows that it’s not really just about her anymore, she has to take responsibility for this other little person. That’s making her head spin a little bit with regard to, ‘Okay, I can spend my life trying to fix this person, whether it’s for me or for him, but if it’s affecting someone else now, it’s a game changer.’ It puts a little bit of spanner in the works for their marriage for a bit. There’s some alone time to be had.”

As for Rumple, expect him to have a new look in Season 6. The actor cut his hair for Trainspotting 2. He will have shorter hair when Once Upon A Time returns. The executive producers told TV Line that the new look will be explained when the fairy tale drama airs new episodes. Is it possible that he will have a new look in order to show Belle he has changed? Maybe, but he needs to remember that the change Belle needs is on the inside, not the outside.

TV Guide mentioned that even though it sounds like “Rumbelle” won’t make it, there is always hope. There is no denying that Rumple loves Belle. The OUAT character already lost one child and he certainly doesn’t want to lose another. Will it be enough for him to change and be completely honest with Belle?

The one thing about Once Upon A Time is that the show is all about hope and happy endings. Perhaps, Rumple and Belle can have a happy ending of their own. It won’t be easy, though. Rumple is going to have to do a lot to prove himself and change for the better.
