No, Jennifer Aniston Did Not Respond To ‘Brangelina’ Divorce

Jennifer Aniston clearly does not want to be dragged into Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. It did not take long for people to mention her shortly after news broke of the couple’s shocking divorce on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Now, rumors are swirling that Jennifer Aniston has addressed the “Brangelina” divorce. In case you forgot, Brad Pitt married Aniston for five years from July 29, 2000 to October 2, 2005. Then, Pitt left Aniston for Jolie after the two met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. That all changed today when news spread Jolie filed for divorce from husband Pitt on Monday, Sept. 19. A report via entertainment outlet The Good Lord Above claims that Aniston gave a “furious response” to the couple’s divorce during her interview on the Today Show.

“F*** society, you people make me sick. While you idiots are talking about this Brangelina bulls***, you’re ignoring what just happened yesterday with Terence Crutcher. An unarmed black father of four was driving home from college when his car broke down. The police showed up and shot him while both of his hands were in the air. This was all caught on video, which you can easily watch on the Internet. But instead, no, none of you will do that. You will instead focus on the fact that a celebrity couple is going through a divorce.”

Then, the outlet claimed that Aniston went on to mention the athletes who have chosen to kneel during the National Anthem.

“The same people that get super offended and lose their minds over whether or not an athlete takes a knee during the National Anthem don’t give two shits when an innocent person is executed with video evidence. They always say that it ‘needs more investigation.’ What is the matter with people? Do they not have souls? This country needs to get its s*** together, stop shooting its citizens, and stop focusing on stupid nonsense so much.”

The report also claimed that Aniston’s statements caused mixed reactions with her fans. Some were divided on Facebook. One wrote that they had “no idea she was so woke.” Meanwhile, another fan remarked that he was disappointed and said that he does not care about Aniston’s liberal opinions and that she is “just jealous cuz Angelina stole her man [SIC].”

However, according to Snopes, Aniston never made those comments at all. She didn’t even appear on the Today Show on Tuesday, Sept. 20 to talk about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. The Good Lord Above is a satirical website that does not publish factual reports, as noted in the disclaimer that’s hard to find.

It seems like the world still can’t stop bringing up Jennifer Aniston when it comes to the Pitts. The tabloids still write the actress as “Poor Jen,” even though she’s been happily married to actor Justin Theroux since 2015. It doesn’t look like Aniston is heartbroken or desperate to have a baby. Instead, she made an estimated $21 million this past year from both movies and endorsement deals.

Aniston has since responded to the speculation about whether or not she is pregnant, writing on the Huffington Post back in July that she was “fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming” of the tabloid coverage.

“This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time… but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children.”

While Jennifer Aniston clearly is a passionate person, it’s clear that she has not addressed the “Brangelina” divorce. And it doesn’t look like she will anytime soon, seeing that she doesn’t want to get involved.
