Marion Cotillard, Brad Pitt’s Rumored Mistress, Is Married To French Actor Guillaume Canet [Report]
Marion Cotillard is the woman caught in the midst of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce, but according to a new report, Cotillard isn’t single.
Although there have been mixed reports regarding the French actress’ marital status in recent years, she’s been involved a long-term romance with fellow actor Guillaume Canet since 2007 and the couple, who is rumored to be married, shares a young son, Marcel Canet, 5.
“Marion Cotillard is not a single woman. Since 2007, she has been married to her husband Guillaume Canet, who is also a French actor, as well as a film director and screenwriter,” Heavy revealed to readers on September 20. “Some of the movies you may recognize him are Love Me If You Dare and The Beach.”
As the outlet noted, Guillaume Canet was previously married to Diane Kruger, whom he divorced in 2006, one year before he allegedly married Marion Cotillard. Prior to getting married, Cotillard and Canet starred alongside one another in 2003’s Love Me If You Dare and after they wed, they appeared in 2009’s The Last Flight.

Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet first met in 1997.
Following the release of the reports regarding Cotillard’s alleged affair with Brad Pitt, which has been highly cited as the reason behind his split from wife Angelina Jolie, a source close to the actress claims she is “absolutely devastated” to be involved in the scandal.
“[Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet] are blissfully happy, and these kind of claims are not what Marion wants to be hearing,” a source close to the actress’s family in Paris told the Daily Mail. “Claims that she’s cheating on [Guillaume Canet] with [Brad Pitt] will leave her absolutely devastated. This doesn’t sound like her at all.”
While TMZ has suggested that Jolie’s decision to file for divorce on Monday was based solely on her desire to keep her children safe, Page Six told a different story on September 20, claiming that Jolie had dumped Pitt after hiring a private investigator who allegedly discovered he was cheating with Cotillard.

According to the Daily Mail, Oscar winner Marion Cotillard gave birth to her child, Marcel, as she continued to be extremely busy with her career. However, despite her public persona and celebrity relationship, the source claimed she has recently indicated that she’s hoping to settle down into a “quieter life” in the near future.
“She enjoys her family time and wants to enjoy more of it,” the source explained. “All this fuss will be a huge shock to her.”
Marion Cotillard has been quite busy throughout 2016. In addition to working alongside Brad Pitt on their World War II drama, Allied, Cotillard, who turns 41 later this month, has been working on three additional films and hopes to slow down substantially once those films are complete.
Prior to her current romance with Guillaume Canet, Marion Cotillard dated actor Julien Rassam and between 2000 and 2005, she was involved in a relationship with Stephan Guerin-Tillie, an actor and director. Marion Cotillard then dated singer Mathieu Blanc-Francard from 2005 until 2007, when her relationship with Guillaume Canet first began.
Although Heavy claims Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet have been married for nearly a decade, the Daily Mail told readers that the couple has never actually married and said that Cotillard continues to refer to Canet as “my boyfriend.”
Both Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet have remained completely silent in regard to the rumors regarding her possible affair with Brad Pitt.
