Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Bold Predictions For Week 3 Of 2016 NFL Season

There are only eight undefeated teams left in the NFL, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles are among them. Luckily for fans who love to watch great football, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia will be meeting up in Week 3 of the 2016 NFL season.

While Carson Wentz has had an unbelievable start to his pro career, he will be facing a Steelers team that is way more talented than the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears, who were the Eagles’ first two opponents of the season. Pittsburgh is, of course, 2-0, while Cleveland and Chicago are a combined 0-4.

Wentz & Co. will get this contest in Philadelphia so that certainly helps the rookie quarterback’s cause. With that in mind, Pittsburgh is a top team in this league. Here’s the proof. ESPN has the Steelers ranked No. 2 in its latest power rankings. Meanwhile, the Eagles came in at No. 15.

The Eagles can shock the football world by knocking off the Steelers. Pittsburgh could continue to prove it is a Super Bowl contender by capturing the Week 3 victory and moving to 3-0 on the season.

Before this contest gets underway, let’s check out some good, old-fashioned bold predictions for the game.

Antonio Brown Redeems Himself With Two Touchdowns

Antonio Brown proved his worth in Week 1 with 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately for fantasy football owners, Brown looked human in Week 2 as he could only manage 39 receiving yards.

Brown will return to fantasy gold against the Eagles by recording at least two touchdowns.

The Eagles might only be allowing 12 points per game, which is good enough for second best in the NFL, but no one should be surprised when Ben Roethlisberger puts on a show in Week 3, which could lead to Brown going off as well.

Carson Wentz Finally Looks Like A Rookie, Throws Two Interceptions

Carson Wentz has been unbelievable so far. There is really no other way to put it. If anyone has been doubting the quarterback’s performance so far, then they need to read the following tweet very closely.

No one can take away Wentz’s impressive start, but it is the Steelers who will kill the Wentz hype train in Week 3. Pittsburgh’s defense hasn’t been too shabby this season as it is only giving up 16 points per contest.

Wentz can’t stay perfect forever, and it is the Pittsburgh Steelers who are serious title contenders. Call it a hunch, but the Steelers will bring Wentz back down to earth on Sunday.

The Steelers Leave Philadelphia With A Double-Digit Victory

Philadelphia has had an impressive start to the season — there is no doubt about it. Unfortunately, the Eagles are about to go up against a team that is capable of absolute destruction on the offensive side of the ball. In other words, the Steelers have some serious weapons on offense.

The Roethlisberger-Brown duo is good enough to give any defense fits, but Pittsburgh also has players like DeAngelo Williams, who is leading the league in rushing yards with 237.

Life on the road in the NFL is never easy, but Roethlisberger has traveled away from home many times in his career. When the season comes to an end, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Pittsburgh Steelers were crowned national champs yet again. While so much can happen now until the Super Bowl, the Steelers should have no problem escaping Philadelphia with a win. Just to bring the bold meter up a notch, Pittsburgh will not only capture the W, but it will also win by at least 10 points.

While preseason rankings can be very misleading, Cleveland and Chicago didn’t have extremely high expectations entering 2016. Entering the year, ESPN ranked Cleveland No. 31 and Chicago No. 21. As for the Steelers, they were ranked No. 6.
