Gwyneth Paltrow Puts Rumors Of ‘Goop’ Abandonment To Rest By Launching Exclusively-Designed Fashion Line

Gwyneth Paltrow, the American actress, singer, and entrepreneur, is a celebrity who is known to have taken the path less traveled by listening to her inner voice. When she was at the peak of her career, the Shakespeare in Love actress decided to become an entrepreneur by undertaking a risky venture of setting up an online lifestyle publication called Goop.

The actress took up the challenge of building a global lifestyle brand with the aim of helping online viewers make an informed decision about fashion, clothing, food, fitness, arts, culture, beauty, travel, relationships, and accessories. For many of her fans and media commentators, Gwyneth Paltrow’s bizarre decision was too risky ever to be successful, as it was also regarded as an impulsive decision that wasn’t well thought out.

However, regardless of the opinions of her detractors, the actress followed her passion and focused on assuming the role of a businessperson who was answerable to board members rather than an actress who was loved by her fans. Ultimately, the Sliding Doors actress decided to follow her intuition and her passion by offering lifestyle advice designed to help her fans to pamper their inner selves.

According to the Telegraph, Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about how she has always tried to listen to her heart while making professional decisions, despite the fact that this method hasn’t always worked out the way she would have liked.

“When I look back at my professional life thus far, I realize two things: I have never played by the rules and I have always had a fierce loyalty to my instincts, sometimes to terrible outcomes.”

Without access to the data behind the company, it’s hard to ascertain the number of people who purchase through the Goop website and who follow the lifestyle tips posted. But was is evident is that fans who are following the site do so partly because Gwyneth Paltrow shares details of her own lifestyle preferences and glimpses into er everyday life, rather than staying at arm’s length.

The unprecedented popularity of the website has enabled the brand to become somewhat of a cultural icon, even occasionally appearing on popular television shows. In fact, the addiction to Goop has found mention in the upcoming episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life; a Netflix comedy series that is a revival of Warner Brothers’ Gilmore Girls. According to Perez Hilton, the first page of the upcoming reboot’s script was released recently, and it reveals Lorelai Gilmore, the show’s protagonist, jokingly attributing her daughter’s perfect look to her dedication towards the health tips that are shared on Goop.

Despite the popularity of Goop, there were rumors which suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow had had enough of her entrepreneurial stint and that she was leaving Goop. The Sliding Doors actress, who earlier launched her “Dream” Organic Skincare and Makeup Line on her website, has put the rumors to rest by taking the next step in her entrepreneurial journey and launching her own line of clothing that will be made available on Goop.

Until now, Goop had earned the reputation of stocking products that were approved by the famous actress, but with the addition of the new line, it will also be known as a website which displays and sells the items that have been specially designed by a team that is led by Gwyneth Paltrow herself.

The actress has launched the clothing line by teaming with Italian designers and producers to come up with her unique collection. Additionally, the Country Strong actress wanted to make sure that every piece in her clothing line reflected her style statement while also meeting the highest quality standards.

In addition to delivering high-quality products, the actress wanted to make her sophisticated products available to her everyday fans at an affordable price. According to People magazine, Gwyneth spoke about her motivations behind launching her own line of clothing.

“It was very important to me to make the clothes in the same way that all of my favorite designer clothing is made, which is in Italy, with beautifully loomed fabrics, incredible tailoring, and incredible attention to detail.”

Gwyneth’s new clothing line that is being sold under the Goop label initially comprises of blazers, button-downs, culottes, and tote bags.
