Justin Bieber And Sofia Richie Have Split After Just Six Weeks Of Dating

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have called it quits.

Following just six weeks of dating, Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have ended their relationship as his Purpose World Tour continues in Europe.

“They’re broken up for now,” a source told People Magazine on September 19.

Justin Bieber began dating Sofia Richie in August, and for weeks, the pair appeared to be inseparable. In addition to spending time together in Laguna Beach, California, Bieber and Richie traveled to Japan and Mexico, where they celebrated the model’s 18th birthday.

During Bieber and Richie’s trip to Japan, a photo shared on Instagram caused quite the controversy after Bieber threatened to make his account private due to the backlash Richie was receiving. Following his photo and message to fans, which also suggested that his fans weren’t really fans if they were going to be mean to the people he likes, Selena Gomez, who dated Bieber on and off for years, responded to the post by telling her ex-boyfriend that he should stop posting pictures of himself and Sofia Richie.

After seeing Gomez’s message, Bieber fired back at the singer and slammed her for using him for attention. In turn, Gomez proceeded to announce to fans that she had offered forgiveness to Bieber after learning he had cheated on her multiple times during their relationship.

Less than two weeks ago, Sofia Richie gushed about her romance with the singer during an interview with Billboard magazine.

“We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles,” she said.

Around the same time, a source told People Magazine that the couple was “basically on a love-fest,” but noted that Bieber was not ready to embark on a committed relationship with Richie.

“These girls all go crazy for him, but he’s not settling down. It’s virtually impossible where he’s at in his life and career for anything to last with these girls,” the source explained.

Justin Bieber is in the midst of his Purpose World Tour and scheduled to be in Europe until the end of November, when the tour concludes.

According to a second report regarding Bieber and Sofia Richie’s split, the pair were never in an official relationship.

“They were never officially together, but more casual hanging out and having fun,” a source explained to E! News on September 19. “It was super-hot and heavy, and because Justin doesn’t want a relationship right now, he wanted to cool things down.”

“It wasn’t an intentional cool-off,” it “just sort of happened on its own,” the source explained.

When Bieber first began dating Sofia Richie, a source noted that the couple hadn’t discussed making their romance exclusive.

“Besides hooking up it all started as really good friends so they have a great foundation,” the source revealed at the time. “They have not discussed titles yet with each other, just taking it slow… Sofia would like to be exclusive and hopes it will lead into that shortly. She has always had something for Justin.”

Since their split, both Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have remained silent about their relationship and likely will continue to do so. Although Bieber has yet to return to Instagram, Sofia Richie continues to share social media photos with her fans and followers and was recently spotted hanging out with another one of Bieber’s rumored flames, Bronte Blampied, in Los Angeles.
