‘WWE Monday Night Raw’ Results: The Card For ‘Clash Of Champions 2016’ Is Set — Three Matches Added

On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte was forced to team up with Dana Brooke to take on No. 1 contender Sasha Banks and recent NXT call-up Bayley in tag team action. Apparently, both Sasha Banks and Bayley had their shoulders on the mat when the referee counted during last week’s Triple Threat Match with Dana. This week, on top of her tag team match, Charlotte found out from Mick Foley that her title defense at WWE Clash of Champions 2016 will be against both Sasha Banks and Bayley.

The top male competitors on Raw are dealing with just as much drama of their own. In last week’s main event, Roman Reigns faced WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in hopes of earning a shot at the Prizefighter’s title on Sunday. However, thanks to interference from both Seth Rollins and WWE United States Champion Rusev, Kevin Owens was able to defeat Reigns, keeping his title match at Clash of Champions a one-on-one encounter with Rollins. This week, as The Architect was forced to square-off against the Bulgarian Brute, while Roman Reigns had a non-title bout with Kevin Owens inside a steel cage.

And finally, after weeks of hype and anticipation, the Cruiserweight Division was unleashed upon the Monday Night Raw roster. T.J. Perkins is the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and he’s being followed to the red brand by at least six fellow competitors from the WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament. This week, Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann and Brian Kendrick fought for a chance to face Perkins at WWE Clash of Champions on Sunday.

Although the tag team of Sasha Banks and Bayley never really broke down during this match, the bond between the WWE Women’s Champion and her protégé proved to be stronger on this occasion. As Brooke kept Banks busy outside the ring, Charlotte finished off Bayley with a big boot.

Stephanie McMahon Called Out Seth Rollins
