Jana Kramer has more on her mind than winning the Mirrorball trophy. The Dancing with the Stars frontrunner just posted a cryptic video about cheating. Was Kramer trying to say something about her recent divorce from Michael Caussin?
Us Magazine reports that the actress attended Carrie Underwood’s performance in Los Angeles on Wednesday when she recorded herself singing along Underwood’s 2005 single “Before He Cheats.”
“‘Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats,'” Kramer shared alongside the video on Instagram. “Thanks @carrieunderwood. #music=therapy.”
The clip features Kramer singing to the track. The post comes only a month after the former One Tree Hill star parted ways with Caussin.
The reason behind their split is still unknown, though he reportedly went to rehab after the separation.
Kramer and Caussin had one daughter together, Jolie Rae, who was born this past January.
Meanwhile, Kramer is currently teamed up with Gleb Savchenko on Season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. During Monday night’s premiere, Kramer opened up about her divorce and explained how she hopes the competition will help her move on with her life.
“I think this show will help me let my guard down,” Kramer explained during the opening episode. “My personal life kind of took a hit. I have recently separated from my husband. I really think this process is going to be a huge healing process for me.”
Following Kramer’s debut on Dancing with the Stars, Underwood sent her close friend a bouquet of flowers.
“Got the most beautiful flowers last night from my friend @carrieunderwood Thanks girl – love you!!” Kramer said.
According to Hollywood Life, Caussin was Kramer’s third husband. The two have yet to disclose what led to their surprising breakup. Of course, Kramer’s cheating video is a major hint that infidelity could have been the cause of the divorce.
Although Kramer is looking forward to the healing process, she admitted to Us Magazine that the breakup was particularly difficult because of her daughter.
“It was definitely so hard because my priority is Jolie, but I wanted to show moms out there that we can do it, and we can have everything – we can still be extremely career-oriented and still be an amazing mom and be there for my daughter and kick ass,” Kramer shared. “Obviously it’s a tough time but I’m excited to get my confidence back for the first time and feel confident in my skin and just learn something new, too.”
Whatever the reasons behind Kramer’s heartache, the actress impressed fans during her DWTS debut.
According to E! Online, Kramer is going to pull out a One Tree Hill classic when she dances to Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Wanna Be.”
“All my One Tree Hill-ers out there, this dance is for you!” she told the outlet. “We’re so excited.”
Kramer portrayed Alex Dupre for two years on the show, from 2009 until 2012.
Kramer and Savchenko are dancing the tango to the track as they continue their run during Week 2 of the competition.
“It’s going to be an International Tango full of technique, full of steps,” he stated. “We’re going to make Len [Goodman] happy, we’re going to make Carrie Ann [Inaba] and Julianne Hough proud of our dancing…. It’s going to be sexy but different.”
Although fans of the show are excited to see One Tree Hill a trending topic again, Savchenko isn’t a fan.
“No, I’ve never watched the show. I’ve watched about 15 minutes of season seven when Jana was on. I liked it! I watched one scene and that was enough,” he shared.
Fans can watch Kramer in action when another episode of Dancing with the Stars airs Monday night on ABC.
