Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Move Forward With Plans To Wed After Receiving Tom Cruise’s Approval?

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are reportedly moving forward with plans to get married after receiving the blessing of Holmes’ ex-husband and Foxx’s former co-star, Tom Cruise.

While Katie Holmes has yet to confirm her romance with Foxx publicly, a new report suggests the couple will soon wed after learning that Cruise is on board with the relationship, which he allegedly feels is the best thing for his daughter, 10-year-old Suri Cruise.

“Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx finally got Tom Cruise’s approval to get married,” Movie News Guide revealed to readers on September 17. “The Mission Impossible actor reportedly finds them very serious and finally nods to give Suri a stable family, which she needs at her age.”

According to the report, Foxx was believed to have had a face-to-face meeting with Cruise to discuss the issue at hand. Although Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been mum about their relationship since they were first linked over three years ago, there have been photos and video of the pair together, and Foxx was allegedly ready to confront the partnership head-on. Meanwhile, Cruise, who reportedly believes Katie Holmes will eventually do what she wants, opted to give his approval for the sake of his young child.

“Jamie called Tom and told him that he loved [Katie Holmes], and that he thought that being in a stable family would be best for Suri too,” an insider told OK! Magazine, via Hollywood Life.

“Tom, despite initial reservations, agreed not to stand in the couple’s way,” the source revealed. “After the man-to-man conversation, even Tom could see how serious Jamie and [Katie Holmes] are.”

The source went on to reveal that despite Katie Holmes’ relationship with Foxx, he and Cruise have remained friends for years after starring alongside one another in 2004’s Collateral.

“He and Tom had been friends for years, and they stayed civil even after Jamie started seeing [Katie Holmes],” the insider adds.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were first linked to one another in 2013 after they were spotted dancing together at an event in The Hamptons. Then, after a photo surfaced of the two of them holding hands, the couple appeared to go into hiding. However, they ultimately began facing rumors of romance yet again and in July of this year, they were caught enjoying a dinner date in Toronto, where Holmes was filming The Kennedys: After Camelot.

Following news of Cruise’s alleged blessing, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were said to be planing a wedding.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are making their “hush-hush courtship” official and are planning a wedding ceremony for later this year, OK! Magazine reported this week, via Gossip Cop. “She and Jamie both want to make sure it’s a fun, lighthearted event, with no stuffiness or formality. They want it to be a party! When Katie married Tom, she barely had say in anything … This ceremony will be a real reflection of her taste and creativity.”

For the past several months, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been faced with rumors of possible engagements and plans for a wedding, but thus far, they have yet to tie the knot and don’t appear to be engaged.

As for OK! Magazine‘s report of an impending wedding, a rep for Holmes told Gossip Cop that the story was “100 percent not true,” and Foxx’s rep labeled the report a “complete fabrication” and confirmed the actor was “not getting married.”
