Lana Del Rey Fans Freak Over Short Haircut Threat

Has Lana Del Rey gone by the way of Britney Spears and chopped off all of her hair for no particular reason? Are fans tweeting about Lana Del Rey cutting her hair off because she is donating to Locks of Love?

In case you have not heard, there was an incident that happened over the weekend in the middle of September that resulted in a fandom meltdown on Twitter -- and it was related to photos that suggested Lana Del Rey might have cut her hair short.

In fact, there was so much speculation surrounding the hairdo issue that Lana Del Rey herself reached out to fans on Twitter to explain the situation.

It can be construed from Twitter posts that the fandom flare up may have started with pictures on social media of Lana Del Rey at a hair appointment.

The particular post that might have started the short haircut scandal came from Lana Del Rey being spotted at a hair salon in Los Angeles on September 15. Two of the four photos of Lana Del Rey show her in the stylist's chair getting her hair combed.

Nonetheless, the other photos posted of Lana Del Rey exiting the hair salon seemed to indicate that her hair had been chopped to a shorter length, according to some of her fans.

Naturally, fans of Lana Del Rey that are in love with her dark, long hair were devastated and went as far as to show their lament on Twitter.

As the situation progressed on social media overnight, one Lana Del Rey fan went as far as calling them "haircut rumors."

Finally, within 24 hours after the short hair scandal began, Lana Del Rey replied on Twitter on September 16 with a photo of her hair and captioned it with "Don't freak out. I didn't cut it. It was tucked into my shirt."

Immediately after, relieved fans reposted the tweet from Lana Del Rey and captioned them with gleeful statements such as "hair is intact."

In the end, Lana Del Rey might be paying special attention to her hair since she has done celebrity endorsements for companies like Jaguar in the past that featured her locks and she also gets a lot of major awards specifically for fashion or style.

Of course, it is likely that Lana Del Rey will continue to show off her gorgeous hair in other celebrity endorsements in the future because Lana Del Rey is as much a music trendsetter as she is a fashionista.

In addition, many people in America and Europe have voted her in for awards related to having noteworthy style. For example, Lana Del Rey won the 2016 U.K. Elle Magazine Style Award. In 2012, Lana Del Rey was nominated for Billboard's New Style Icon award.

It is easy for Lana Del Rey to win these awards because all she has to do is wear something and it tends to become a fashion trend. A good example of a trend that is related to Lana Del Rey is the hair garland.

Nevertheless, Lana Del Rey might have a silver bullet for advice on hair, fashion, or choosing the right brands to endorse as a celebrity because Lana Del Rey's boyfriend's mother is an Italian fashion superstar.

Lana Del Rey started dating Francesco Carrozzini in 2014, and, since that time, she has been at the center of many celebrity magazine headlines in Europe. Part of the reason that the European media is obsessed with Lana Del Rey is because she is dating the son of one of Europe's top fashion magazine editors, Franca Sozzani.

Since the 1980s, Franca Sozzani has been the editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine in Italy. Franca Sozzani is now the subject of a biopic, released in August, about her fashion career that was created by her son, Francesco Carrozzini. This film about Italy's living legend of fashion is titled Franca: Chaos and Creation.
