‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 — Leaked Audio Hints Negan Kills Two Main Characters In The Season Premiere

More than one character might die when The Walking Dead returns to AMC for Season 7.

Leaked audio hints that Negan will unleash his fury on several members of Rick’s group. Which characters are going to die in the Season 7 premiere?

According to Movie News Guide, the leaked audio features characters shouting for Glenn while Negan hits him with the barbed wire bat.

In the comics, Negan kills Glenn in a similar fashion, which only adds more credence to the leaked material.

Glenn’s death was teased several times last season, though the character managed to live through whatever was thrown his way. Now, it sounds like Glenn’s luck has run out.

At the same time, Glenn might not be the only casualty in the Season 7 premiere.

While talking about the coming season, Greg Nicotero let slip that fans will see more than one death.

“I don’t think we would have changed anything,” Nicotero began, referencing the Season 6 cliffhanger. “I would have still supported doing it the way that we did it, because of the fact that the story doesn’t end there. If we would have shown the deaths, then they wouldn’t have felt our characters in Season 7 the way they need to.”

The audio doesn’t reveal who else might die during the premiere. Several theories, however, indicate that Negan might beat Maggie to death as well.

Of course, anyone besides Rick is a potential target, including Michonne, Daryl, Abraham, and Carl.

As fans will recall, Season 6 wrapped with Rick and his group captured and at the mercy of Negan. According to Den of Geek, Negan assured Rick’s group that he doesn’t want any of them dead, but needs to kill one of them as an example.

Enter Negan’s bat, nicknamed Lucille.

Clearly, Negan is going to kill somebody on The Walking Dead, and it, unfortunately, sounds like Glenn is his primary target.

Maggie is the next option, especially if Glenn dies.

Maggie is the only remaining member of her family after last season, and she is already in desperate need of medical care.

Pregnant and unhealthy, Negan might decide that he doesn’t someone like Maggie working for him.

That being said, there is a possibility that Maggie is spared, and Michonne gets the bat.

Michonne’s place in Rick’s group – and his heart – changed significantly over the past few seasons.

Last year, Michonne and Rick became romantically involved, adding a much-needed family dynamic to the group.

By ending Michonne’s life, Negan would be making his point loud and clear to Rick and everyone else.

At the same time, Eugene offers another interesting choice for Negan’s wrath.

Eugene started his journey by lying to everyone about his knowledge of a cure, only to later gain the trust of the group and start to handle his own.

Eugene probably won’t be much help to Negan, though his smarts could make him a valuable asset in the future.

Speaking of assets, two characters that are probably the safest are Rick and Carl.

Not only is Rick the main character in the series, but Negan’s words after he kills the character hint that Carl is still alive.

“Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boys other eye out and feed it to his father,” Negan says.

Whatever ends up happening, International Business Times reports that fans will learn which character (or characters) die in the premiere. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait to see what unfolds at the end of Negan’s bat.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, explained just how unexpected Negan’s wrath can truly be.

“But when that violence comes, there is no doubting what this guy is going to do and how he’s going to do it, and I think we’ve established that very early on, that at any given moment you can die in front of Negan,” he shared.
