Britney Spears Quitting Music To Teach?

Britney Spears shot to fame in her late teens as the princess of pop, and even before that had a steady gig as a performer on the Mickey Mouse Club. The pop star has truly only known showbiz and continues to impress on stage and in the recording studio. Brit has rebounded from a tricky time in her life after divorce and battles over custody of her adorable sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she had with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The singer and Vegas resident is now back on top of her game, free from the grips of heartbreak and putting out new music.

But is Spears truly satisfied as the pop star she continues to be? In a recent interview, Britney shared that she wasn’t so sure about her life as a pop star and how she has, by times, thought about other career paths as an option. In an interview with the British music outlet NME, Spears considered trading her fame and fortune and her residency on the Vegas strip for the life in front of a chalkboard. Time shares Spears’ words.

“Sometimes I’m like, ‘What am I doing? Like, I could be a teacher,'” she told NME. “But then I see other people doing it, too, and I’m like, ‘Well, you know, it’s probably all they’ve known for so long, so it just kind of makes sense.'”

Although the entertainer and mother of two isn’t ready to hang up the mic and head to the classroom anytime soon, she has definitely displayed the ability to instruct and the traits of a good teacher when breaking down moves recently during a dance class she took over. A lucky group of girls were able to be a part of the class while the superstar shared some of the secrets to her amazing choreography.

Britney clearly has a knack for instructing, yet she did come to the conclusion that she’s not ready for a career change and actually love what she does.

“I love what I do,” she told NME. “I think that helps because it speaks for itself when I perform. Seeing other artists continue to do this kind of thing inspires me too.”

Britney has, as mentioned, experienced heartbreak and a slump in her career due to certain behaviors which also caused the public to wonder if she would ever make a comeback. Since the point Spears became single and began to focus on career and her two sons, the singer had climbed back to the top where she was over a decade ago. Britney spoke a few years back about what it’s like in the worst situation and the best situation and how each point of life has its own beauty. MTV relayed the singer’s words.

“I love what I do. I love my babies.. And I work really hard. It’s weird. You can see the cruelest part of the world and then on the other side you see the most beautiful…. But they’re worth it…. I’ve been to both places.”

Although the divorce from Kevin Federline took its toll on the star, Britney sees the two beings she got from that failed marriage as the most important relationships in her life and clearly lives each day for them. The star has stated that in becoming a mother, she has become a selfless person who cares for her two boys primarily and sees them as her everything. After the difficulty she endured, Spears saw that rising above was best for her and her children and reminded herself that things could be a whole lot worse.

“Normal is different for everybody. It could be a lot worse. There are people out there who have it a lot worse than I do.”
