Zac Efron Calls Taylor Swift ‘Sexy’ Amid Dating Rumors [Report]
Zac Efron has reportedly been telling friends that he thinks Taylor Swift is “sexy” amid reports claiming that the two could be about to take their relationship to the next level following her split from Tom Hiddleston.
According to reports, although Zac and Taylor are not dating yet, a source close to Efron recently claimed that it’s not completely out of the question that he and Swift could potentially get romantic after becoming friends back in 2012 while working on the film The Lorax.
Hollywood Life is claiming that Zac is actually “open” to the idea of dating Taylor and has supposedly “been letting his friends know that he is down to see what Taylor is all about” ever since the dating rumors began swirling between himself and Swift earlier this week.
“[Zac] likes her music and thinks she is sexy so he is telling friends he is curious what it would be like to have Taylor Swift as a girlfriend,” the source said.
The latest speculation surrounding Efron and Swift’s relationship comes just days after Life & Style reported that the friends had supposedly been getting flirty since Taylor broke up with Hiddleston earlier this month, though Hollywood Life claimed that Swift and Efron haven’t actually taken things to the next level just yet.
“He has been taking it all in stride,” a source said of how Efron’s been reacting to reports suggesting Swift is interested in dating him. “While he has met Taylor at several events over the years, they have yet to take their friendship to the romantic level,” the source confirmed.
While nothing has happened between Taylor Swift and Zac Efron just yet, Life & Style is alleging that the twosome could potentially meet up for a date once their schedules calm down.
The magazine reported that Swift has actually “been talking about [Efron] nonstop since her breakup with Tom” and even claimed that Taylor has asked Zac to meet up once both their schedules are clear.
“[Taylor’s] reached out to Zac and told him that they should hang out and maybe go to dinner together, and he’s into it,” an insider alleged as the dating rumors continue to swirl around Zac and Swift. “It just hasn’t happened yet because of their schedules.”
Taylor and Zac are both yet to speak out amid the dating reports, though the latest rumors surrounding the couple come just days after Hollywood Life claimed that Efron was actually having second thoughts about getting into a relationship with Swift because of the intense media attention that comes with dating the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer.
“Zac’s really excited on what Baywatch is expected to do to his career,” an insider told the site of Zac’s high hopes for his upcoming film, a remake of Baywatch set for 2017, adding that Efron knows that dating Swift could potentially “derail” his acting career.
“He’s scared of getting involved with Taylor because people then would only care about his love life and not his acting career,” the site’s insider continued, noting that Efron has experienced being in a high-profile relationship before during his five-year romance with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.
“He is very aware of what it takes to make a public relationship, especially with someone like Taylor, work out,” the gossip site continued, referencing Efron’s relationship with Hudgens, whom he dated at the height of their High School Musical fame until the fan-favorite couple eventually split in 2010.
