Jaden Smith: Could The Gender-Bending Star’s Sexuality Be Behind The Repeated Death Rumors Swirling Around Him?

Jaden Smith just can’t quit dying to save his life. At least, that’s the rumor according to an internet death hoax that, like Jaden Smith, just wont die. Since the beginning of summer 2016, Jaden Smith has been targeted by multiple death and suicide rumors. In repeated cases, the news of Jaden’s death goes viral, often alluding to or blatantly stating that he’s taken his own life. It takes fans and critics a few days to realize that 18-year-old Jaden Smith is still among the living, and then the whole cycle begins again.

This weekend, we’re just coming off of yet another viral Jaden Smith suicide hoax. The last round of death rumors seemed to be the most virulent of the summer, with multiple outlets reporting that the family of young Jaden (including his superstar younger sister, Willow) even got condolences from friends and family after the faux news of Jaden Smith’s most recent death went viral.

There has been a lot of discussion centered around where these repeated Jaden Smith death rumors are coming from. Some believe that Jaden or his “people” may be starting the rumors themselves and on purpose. You know, to help the teen star’s career by keeping his name in the news. While this theory has gained a lot of support, the fact of the matter is that there’s no real proof to substantiate it.

Some people say that jealous haters may be behind the internet’s repeated attempts to kill off Jaden Smith. After all, one of the more believable rumors of the summer was that Jaden Smith hung himself because his longtime girlfriend, Sarah Snyder, had been caught cheating on him. That death hoax was making the rounds at just about the time that a photographer tweeted (then deleted) a photo of himself in bed with Jaden Smith’s girl.

Even though the tweet containing the photo was deleted, it wasn’t deleted quick enough. Multiple outlets and individuals copied and shared the photo of Jaden Smith’s lady love getting cozy with a man that wasn’t Jaden.

Is it possible that Jaden Smith’s girlfriend’s jilted lover could have been behind the Jaden Smith death hoaxes? It’s possible, but there’s no evidence to support that theory, either.

Still, the rumors that Jaden Smith is dead and even that he killed himself simply won’t quit going around; as such, people can’t seem to stop trying to figure out where they came from. Now, a new theory has presented itself, and it could help Jaden Smith fans understand where all of this suicide talk is coming from.

As his fans and even his critics know, Jaden Smith has built his brand and his career on his gender-fluid style. In fact, before he even turned 18, Jaden was a millionaire several times over in his own right, and largely due to his ambiguous gender identification. The talk of Jaden’s gender fluidity has gotten so extreme that debunked rumors that he was planning on undergoing gender reassignment as an “18th birthday present” enjoyed some pretty solid traction around the time that he officially became an adult.

Now, those discussing the Jaden Smith death hoax are looking at the story from a different angle. As Sportsrageous reports, Jaden Smith’s followers are wondering if the incessant suicide rumors could have something to do with his gender-bending lifestyle and the almost constant rumors and questions that surround the teen’s sexuality.

Many people, lovers and haters of Jaden Smith alike, believe that the teen’s habit of wearing dresses and skirts are hiding (very badly) the fact that Jaden is actually gay or transgender or bisexual or all of the above. While Jaden himself hasn’t spoken out directly about his sexual preferences, he has been dating a woman (an older woman) for more than a year now.

Indeed, Jaden Smith has created his own clothing line, MSFTSrep, and according to Jaden, he created the clothes for people like himself.

“[The clothing line is for] the girl that wants to be a tomboy or the boy that wants to wear a skirt, and people try to condemn. We’re here for you. Tell us your stories. If someone at your school’s trying to pick on you, it doesn’t matter because Jaden Smith’s got your back.”

There is something interesting to consider; Jaden Smith doesn’t consider his fashion choices and clothing line to be “gender-bending” at all, but rather, he calls them “gender neutral.”

However, many people (internet people, that is) are starting to wonder if all of the misplaced (and often cruel) rumors about Jaden Smith’s sexuality could somehow be behind the suicide rumors that just won’t die.
